This spectacular home theater features a 149" Stewart FilmScreen UltraMatte 130 Microperf fixed screen. Three rows of deluxe leather seating is by Cinematech. The lighting is particularly cool: 13 wash downlights, fiber optic ceiling lights with dimming, Soffit RGB LED lighting with dimming, step LEDs with dimming, and Column LEDs with dimming, operated through the Control4 Lighting Control system. This 7,900-square-foot Italian-inspired Mediterranean estate in Grand Islands at Seven Oaks, Bakersfield, features graceful arches, natural materials, custom wrought-iron details, sculptural stairwork, and integrated water features. Designed for elegant California living, the custom home combines grand entertaining spaces, private retreats, a home theater, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections with enduring Mediterranean craftsmanship and architectural character.

The client had a finished basement space that was not functioning for the entire family. He spent a lot of time in his gym, which was not large enough to accommodate all his equipment and did not offer adequate space for aerobic activities. To appeal to the client's entertaining habits, a bar, gaming area, and proper theater screen needed to be added. There were some ceiling and lolly column restraints that would play a significant role in the layout of our new design, but the Gramophone Team was able to create a space in which every detail appeared to be there from the beginning. This was a custom home built at 4400sq ft with 5 bedrooms as well as a cigar room. The customer had purchased the home, and brought us in to design and finish the basement, complete with a home theater and intriguing cigar room. The entire home has a 7.1 surround sound system with some additional in ceiling speakers at the bar for full entertainment. The natural stone veneers made a perfect finish alongside the recessed refrigerator and maple cabinets.

The owners of this full room renovation wanted a one of a kind unique theater experience with elegant details and luxurious flair. The room itself is a beautifully decorated 2-story theater with 3-tier seating. Each riser is stepped 3 feet high, giving uncompromising views for each person, no matter where they are sitting. One of the most notable features of the theater is the massive 180" diagonal 16x9 ratio Stewart Filmscreen. Sound is driven by Bowers & Wilkins CT-series speakers and Rotel amplifiers. The entire theater is integrated with a Crestron control system, complete with automated lighting dimmers and climate controls. Turn the lights off, and you'll see a gorgeous domed "starry night" ceiling that has integrated fiber optic lights and constellations painted in the dome. This is definitely a theater fit for a king. The Manhattan Project is located in Houston's Galleria District. It involved gutting the original room, sound proofing the walls, ceiling and floor. We covered the walls with fire treated fabric panels to improve the sound quality and we installed a 135" motorized film screen and a 3D projector. The sound is hidden behind the decorative Speaker Grills and front lower section of the projection screen wall.

This 4,500 sq ft basement in Long Island is high on luxe, style, and fun. It has a full gym, golf simulator, arcade room, home theater, bar, full bath, storage, and an entry mud area. The palette is tight with a wood tile pattern to define areas and keep the space integrated. We used an open floor plan but still kept each space defined. The golf simulator ceiling is deep blue to simulate the night sky. It works with the room/doors that are integrated into the paneling — on shiplap and blue. We also added lights on the shuffleboard and integrated inset gym mirrors into the shiplap. We integrated ductwork and HVAC into the columns and ceiling, a brass foot rail at the bar, and pop-up chargers and a USB in the theater and the bar. The center arm of the theater seats can be raised for cuddling. LED lights have been added to the stone at the threshold of the arcade, and the games in the arcade are turned on with a light switch.
