The owners of this outdated 1960’s kitchen were ready for a change and sought out Renovisions after seeing one of their eye-catching ads in South Shore Living Magazine. It was time to start fresh with a cleaner and brighter look with more functional storage. The professionals at Renovisions worked as a team to accommodate their wishes while being mindful of their existing traditional styled furnishings.
Keeping a similar layout, the old cabinets, flooring, countertops, door, window and appliances were removed as well as the wall between the kitchen and dining room to accommodate additional cabinets while creating an L for more useful countertop space. Replacing the worn stained wooden door and double hung window with a new prairie-style window and breezeway door in white finish was the first order of business. By replacing the tired vinyl floor with new oak wood floors the space became warm & inviting. The beautiful new white painted shaker-style cabinets look fabulous with the natural ivory-tan blend granite countertops and sleek stainless steel appliances. Simple, yet elegant white subway tiles provide a serene and open feel to the space. Creating a small niche area behind the slide-in range was also at the top of our clients list to accommodate the spices they use daily, turning an ordinary look to extraordinary.
Pesto change-o, as if by magic Renovisions transformed this dated tight-fit kitchen into a warm and inviting better functioning space that is definitely pleasing to the eyes of these homeowners who are thrilled with the end result and grateful for the high quality work along with the professional manner in which their project was completed.
“Thanks to you, Ed, Mike, and Liz for all your hard work. The kitchen is beautiful and I love the backsplash! The whole room looks beautiful, I'm so glad that we went with the white subway tiles in the end. They're light and clean and really pretty. Thanks for everything, Cathy. Your team has done a wonderful job! We appreciate all your help and hard work.”

This beautiful pool and spa showcases Augusta grey and earth tone natural ledgestone veneer as drystack siding. Augusta is a grey and earth tone real stone veneer in the ledgestone style. The thin stone is a blend of split face and bedface pieces excavated from a single quarry. The split face pieces are the gray interior part of the stone, whereas, the browns and tan pieces come from the bedface that has been exposed to the elements for millenia. Augusta falls into the ledgestone style due to the smaller heights of the individual pieces. Although it makes for a more labor-intensive installation, Augusta looks wonderful with a drystack tight fit installation. The stone showcases the right balance of subtle color variation to look visually appealing but not overwhelming or busy.

This paved driveway was transformed with lush plantings of purple, yellows, and greens resting against a backdrop of timeless bluestone. With quite a long distance from the driveway's edge to the front door, along with a substantial grade change as well, the Landworx team designed and installed one of their trademark entrances. Meandering just enough to add interest but still maintaining perfect function, a series of bluestone steppers and landings lead visitors to the front door. Carefully placed pops of color in the form of pottery, lavender, and plump blue/green evergreens make for a peaceful walk up.
A bluestone walkway leads around the side of house and opens up to a traditional bluestone patio in the backyard. Working perfectly with the ornate architecture, the large format bluestone in squares and rectangles was carefully selected for it's rust-colored highlights. Raised on the back side with a tight-fitted natural stone retaining wall, the patio provides an outdoor dining room of the backdoor sliders.

On a compact urban site in Kirkland's West of Market neighborhood, this very modern home plus garage with ADU above was a very tight fit. Shingle-style guest cottage addition with garage below and interior connector from the main dining room of an early 1900 existing house.
Sited so that garage entrance and drive works within the existing landscape elevation and orientation, the guest cottage connects directly to the first floor of the main house. This results in an interesting structural dynamic where the walls of the second floor addition are square to the main house, and the lower garage walls corkscrew at a forty-five degree angle to the walls above.
Inspired by their fond memories of travels to the island of Malta, the client requested warm neutral finishes and chose honed cream marble flooring with tight fitting grout lines and an intricate pattern of a Walker Zanger marble tile for the fireplace surround. "Dove White" walls with "Antique White" trim were selected in traditional simplicity to replicate the standard of the existing house and create a seamless transition to the addition. Locally handcrafted copper sconces gently illuminate the space and maintain the period-style of the home.

The homeowners already has a gorgeous outdoor living space, but they were exposed to the bugs and rain blowing into their patio area. We installed a Custom screen room with tight fitting screens keep out BUGS & RAIN, durable aluminum components that never warp and never rot, and durable screens made to withstand pressure to create this beautiful low maintenance outdoor living space.
The framing for this screen room is Antique Brown, aluminum framing that won't rot or warp. The Screen is in Charcoal. From inside the room, or out on the property, this room is beautiful. The view of the golf course is not obstructed by large framing or unsightly screens.

In planning the new kitchen layout, I realized that the location of the existing double ovens blocked the view from the dining room. I suggested locating the new microwave/oven unit to the existing alcove. It was a tight fit but it allows for counter space on either side of the cook top.
