I designed the spa master bath to provide a calming oasis by using a blend of marble tile, concrete counter tops, chrome, crystal and a refurbished antique claw foot tub.

Shallow pantry cabinets partially recessed into the wall provide extra storage space while still allowing enough room for seating behind the navy and marble island. Crackled mosaic tile to the ceiling frames the free standing brushed aluminum hood with brass strapping to create a focal point. | © Lassiter Photography

Primary bathroom of a new construction home in the Berkeley Hills, CA. A freestanding white oval soaking tub is positioned beneath a steel-framed picture window with unobstructed mature forest views. Full-height black4 tile accent wall behind the tub creates a dramatic textural contrast with the white soaking tub and bright window beyond. Floating oak vanity with dual matte black rectangular vessel sinks, matte black gooseneck faucets, and a full-width backlit mirror with integrated lighting rail. Birch plywood ceiling panels carry the material palette from the bedroom into the bathroom. Frameless glass shower enclosure with matte black hardware visible to the right. This modern primary bath is a study in texture and contrast. The textured porcelain walls behind the vanity and freestanding tub add interest and contrast with the window wall's dark charcoal cork wallpaper. Large format limestone floors contrast beautifully against the light wood vanity. The porcelain countertop waterfalls over the vanity front to add a touch of modern drama and the geometric light fixtures add a visual punch. The 70" tall, angled frame mirrors add height and draw the eye up to the 10' ceiling. The textural tile is repeated again in the horizontal shower niche to tie all areas of the bathroom together. The shower features dual shower heads and a rain shower, along with body sprays to ease tired muscles. The modern angled soaking tub and bidet toilet round of the luxury features in this showstopping primary bath.

In the dining room we installed 3-D wall tiles that mimic the shapes found on the tracery ceiling in the adjacent family room.
