We gave this master bedroom an industrial modern vibe with reclaimed wood four poster bed, reclaimed wood and iron nightstands, and a leather and iron bench. We warmed things up by adding a navy tetured grasscloth wallpaper accent wall, pendant lighting from Arteriors and a shag rug from Surya.

Inspiration for a small transitional granite floor entryway remodel in Toronto with white walls and a dark wood front door

A tribute to modern architecture, designed by Lee Skolnick, this home resides on fourteen acres in Sag Harbor, NY. Kristen Elizabeth Design joined the team to advise on all interior design elements from surfaces to furnishings and create a modern, minimal vibe while maintaining a warmth that says home. We worked with the clients to blend treasured family heirlooms with styles that are trend forward, but timeless in design. Furnishings and textiles are neutral and softly hued and rooms are fluidly linked with old and new.
The vision was to break out of the comfortable traditional style they were accustomed to and build outside their comfort zone with a modern and minimal vibe. Kristen Elizabeth Design worked with the clients to keep them focused on materials and styles that are trend forward, but timeless in design. Furnishings and textiles provide soft color and pattern.

The unique design of this lake home and the surrounding natural landscape complement each other perfectly, resulting in beautiful lake views and a spacious, comfortable living area that welcomes guests. The interior features a mix of stained alder and white enamel cabinetry and woodwork, a vaulted great room with masonry fireplace, and an owners’ suite with a high ceiling, built-ins, and expansive lake views. One of the favorite spaces of the home is the beautiful lakeside porch & patio for entertaining, grilling and includes automated screens and vinyl shades for year-round enjoyment.

"The Fox Hunt"
These are photos of rooms I designed for the Oxford Arts Alliance Show House, in Chadds Ford.
The moment I entered the room and looked out the windows I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the space. That inspiration led me down several paths both old and new that eventually created the room as you see it here... As you glance out a window, you may see a lone fox trotting across the property, or hear the sound of hounds in the distance.

When designer Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. first met this young, stylish couple at their house they had a small handful of items they knew they really wanted in their master bathroom: a freestanding tub, a chandelier, a larger shower and more counter space. But the truth was, the bath needed a major face-lift. The space was outdated and lacked personality. It certainly didn't reflect the homeowners and their elegant aesthetic. The combination of stone and wood tiles lends just enough of a rustic flair to bring a little bit of the outdoors in and while helping to balance some of the feminine elements in the room with simple masculine touches.
