This Houston, Texas River Oaks home went through a complete remodel of their master bathroom. Originally, it was a bland rectangular space with a misplaced shower in the center of the bathroom; partnered with a built-in tub against the window. We redesigned the new space by completely gutting the old bathroom. We decided to make the space flow more consistently by working with the rectangular layout and then created a master bathroom with free-standing tub inside the shower enclosure. The tub was floated inside the shower by the window. Next, we added a large bench seat with an oversized mosaic glass backdrop by Lunada Bay "Agate Taiko. The 9’ x 9’ shower is fully enclosed with 3/8” seamless glass. The furniture-like vanity was custom built with decorative overlays on the mirror doors to match the shower mosaic tile design. Further, we bleached the hickory wood to get the white wash stain on the cabinets. The floor tile is 12" x 24" Athena Sand with a linear mosaic running the length of the room. This tranquil spa bath has many luxurious amenities such as a Bain Ultra Air Tub, "Evanescence" with Brizo Virage Lavatory faucets and fixtures in a brushed bronze brilliance finish. Overall, this was a drastic, yet much needed change for my client.

This transitional primary suite remodel is simply breathtaking. It is all but impossible to choose the best part of this dreamy primary space. Neutral colors in the bedroom create a tranquil escape from the world. One of the main goals of this remodel was to maximize the space of the primary closet. From tiny and cramped to large and spacious, it is now simple, functional, and sophisticated. Every item has a place or drawer to keep a clean and minimal aesthetic. The primary bathroom builds on the neutral color palette of the bedroom and closet with a soothing ambiance. The JRP team used crisp white, soft cream, and cloudy gray to create a bathroom that is clean and calm. To avoid creating a look that falls flat, these hues were layered throughout the room through the flooring, vanity, shower curtain, and accent pieces. Stylish details include wood grain porcelain tiles, crystal chandelier lighting, and a freestanding soaking tub. Vadara quartz countertops flow throughout, complimenting the pure white cabinets and illuminating the space. This spacious transitional primary suite offers plenty of functional yet elegant features to help prepare for every occasion. The goal was to ensure that each day begins and ends in a tranquil space.  This master suite renovation was completed for a couple with both a love of french antiques and their pet. Pulp incorporated key beloved pieces from the homeowners’ collection with durable fabrics and custom pillows to create a tranquil retreat. Glass tile and marble were used to transform the master bath from a dark space to a space that is serene, open and aesthetically pleasing. Finishing touches really complete the look giving it an authentic spa feel.

Surrounded by 30 year old trees, the homeowners were looking for an organic, modern, low maintenance finish to their outdoor environment. Utilizing the pre-existing mature apple tree in the backyard VisionScapes developed a tranquil retreat that extended the sq.ft of the home through a series of terraced concrete and wood decks. Inspiration for a transitional landscaping in Orange County.

The conversion of this iconic American barn into a Writer’s Studio was conceived of as a tranquil retreat with natural light and lush views to stimulate inspiration for both husband and wife. Originally used as a garage with two horse stalls, the existing stick framed structure provided a loft with ideal space and orientation for a secluded studio. Signature barn features were maintained and enhanced such as horizontal siding, trim, large barn doors, cupola, roof overhangs, and framing. New features added to compliment the contextual significance and sustainability aspect of the project were reclaimed lumber from a razed barn used as flooring, driftwood retrieved from the shores of the Hudson River used for trim, and distressing / wearing new wood finishes creating an aged look. Along with the efforts for maintaining the historic character of the barn, modern elements were also incorporated into the design to provide a more current ensemble based on its new use. Elements such a light fixtures, window configurations, plumbing fixtures and appliances were all modernized to appropriately represent the present way of life.
