Mudroom - traditional mudroom idea in New York with green walls

Well traveled and a consummate collector, my client styled each room from the different countries that she traveled. Their was no continuity, no theme. So, I went to each room, pulled something from each country, creating this statement in the entry, including the wired vase that was outside and turning green. By using what the client had collected for years, I was able to create a wonderful eclectic entry that pulls all her "things" together in a collective cohesive manner. The Asian Dining room is off to the left.

The covered breezeway provides cover for traveling between the two-car garage/ guest suite apartment to the house, but it is also attractive with some great architectural details. The shell drive extends to the walkway for a consistent low country look..

Home design - contemporary home design idea in Phoenix

Designed by Interior Designer, A. Lantz Design, this Lake Charlevoix project was featured on the cover of Traditional Home magazine! This whimsy guest bedroom suite encompasses all things sailing! An ode to lake life, custom sail boat drapery adorns the windows while a vintage sail boat lithograph art piece hangs above the iron bed. Red stripe bedding with blue and tab pillows pop on the crisp white bed sheets while a vintage quilt hangs off the bed. The wall sconces allow for more room on the navy blue wicker side tables and the room is anchored by a beautiful, cozy navy and cream striped rug.

The owner, a photographer, selected her favorite travel photos for use throughout the home. Floating shelves on either side of the fireplace display these travel photos (Amsterdam here) along with pieces brought from her home country of Romania.

We filled this blank room with furnishings, lighting, flooring, and décor for a cohesive look that is both timeless and modern. Inspired by our clients’ travels, we also incorporated a subtle hill-country vibe to translate the residential setting into the aesthetic.
