We ripped out the lawn and replaced with low water perennials and grasses, along with a couple of citrus tress and a pineapple guava! The hardscape is simple broken concrete and decomposed granite. The whole area is on a drip irrigation system with a rain sensor. This is the planted area after 3 months - and in our "winter!"
