The home sits into an extremely steep, half-acre lot that shares a property line with a ski resort and allows for ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain’s 61 trails. This unique location and challenging terrain informed the home’s siting, footprint, program, design, interior design, finishes, and custom made furniture. Credit: Samyn-D'Elia Architects

A basement sitting area/TV area. This television is connected to the home's hub of smart technology, and is capable of receiving satellite programming, streaming audio/video via tablets and smartphones throughout the home, DVD/Blu-Ray movies shared throughout the home, as well as media and content stored on the home's network via network attached storage (NAS). Sound is managed through the TV itself, or via the zone audio system, with local speakers located in the ceiling throughout the home, and pictured here. This home is controlled by a Control 4 home automation system, providing complete cinema, lighting, source, and audio control from tablets and smartphones throughout the home. Interested in the same music playing in multiple rooms? Are you a television junkie always watching your favorite programs as you go about your day? Is a ceiling fan a “must-have”? From the bedroom to the kitchen, to the living room, to the office and ultimately relaxing on the patio, we’ve got you covered.

New neutral pallet was introduced into this comfortable Living Room. The fireplace was refurbished and a new screen added. A picture frame flat panel TV looks like art when the TV programs are not playing. Swivel chairs make it easy to enjoy views through the glass slider or engage with others in the larger seating area. The sofa has two ends that recline for comfortable movie viewing. A comfortable chair and ottoman in the opposite corner makes a nice reading nook.

Room has a 4K OLED SmarTV. All content streams form the TV's Apps (No Cable Box or DirecTV receiver needed for TV programming). Seamless in-ceiling stereo speakers in the front of the room and seamless on-wall speakers playing towards the bed which can output the distributed house music or TV sound. Automated lighting, shades and HVAC. Room can be controlled through Control4's handheld remote, touchscreens or mobile App.
