The original bathroom on the main floor had an odd Jack-and-Jill layout with two toilets, two vanities and only a single tub/shower (in vintage mint green, no less). With some creative modifications to existing walls and the removal of a small linen closet, we were able to divide the space into two functional and totally separate bathrooms. In the guest bathroom, we opted for a clean black and white palette and chose a stained wood vanity to add warmth. The bold hexagon tiles add a huge wow factor to the small bathroom and the vertical tile layout draws the eye upward. We made the most out of every inch of space by including a tall niche for towels and toiletries and still managed to carve out a full size linen closet in the hall.

The Inverness Bathroom remodel had these goals: to complete the work while allowing the owner to continue to use their workshop below the project's construction, to provide a high-end quality product that was low-maintenance to the owners, to allow for future accessibility, more natural light and to better meet the daily needs of both the husband's and wife's lifestyles. The first challenge was providing the required structural support to continue to clear span the two cargarage below which housed a workshop. The sheetrock removal, framing and sheetrock repairs and painting were completed first so the owner could continue to use his workshop, as requested. The HVAC supply line was originally an 8" duct that barely fit in the roof triangle between the ridge pole and ceiling. In order to provide the required air flow to additional supply vents in ceiling, a triangular duct was fabricated allowing us to use every square inch of available space. Since every exterior wall in the space adjoined a sloped ceiling, we installed ventilation baffles between each rafter and installed spray foam insulation.This project more than doubled the square footage of usable space. The new area houses a spaciousshower, large bathtub and dressing area. The addition of a window provides natural light. Instead of a small double vanity, they now have a his-and-hers vanity area. We wanted to provide a practical and comfortable space for the wife to get ready for her day and were able to incorporate a sit down make up station for her. The honed white marble looking tile is not only low maintenance but creates a clean bright spa appearance. The custom color vanities and built in linen press provide the perfect contrast of boldness to create the WOW factor. The sloped ceilings allowed us to maximize the amount of usable space plus provided the opportunity for the built in linen press with drawers at the bottom for additional storage. We were also able to combine two closets and add built in shelves for her. This created a dream space for our client that craved organization and functionality. A separate closet on opposite side of entrance provided suitable and comfortable closet space for him. In the end, these clients now have a large, bright and inviting master bath that will allow for complete accessibility in the future.

For a small bathroom this room packs a lot of wow factor!! We created a unique treatment to accent the cabinets to go with the sophisticated flow of this room and compliment the gorgeous Walker Zanger Tiled accent wall. this updated kitchen with rustic elements is the heart of our client's home. Storage and usable countertop space were two important factors. We used beautiful and natural granite countertops. The warm tones of his kitchen create a very inviting space.

Suzanne’s Clearwater music room earned her two awards in the 2023 Dream Room competition. It was a 3rd place winner in the overall competition, and it also won 2nd place in the People’s Choice category, which allows for public voting. The room impressed judges and voters alike with its beauty and functionality as a space for making and enjoying music. 2023 Dream Room Winner and 2023 People's Choice Award. Suzanne’s client wanted a place to show off her baby grand piano. She also wanted to incorporate color and loves shades of blues and greens. The windows provided plenty of light but left almost no usable wall space as the room was open to a walkway, the main great room and the front door. The client wanted the space to have a WOW factor! Since the piano is the focal point, it was positioned with the open end facing out into the room. This highlighted the design and shape of the baby grand. Two side chairs in bronzed metal with white faux bunny fur and leather were placed together to provide seating for guests listening to the pianist. A contemporary pentagon end table with a mother of pearl top was placed between the chairs. Now for the WOW factor — a 43" triple tiered glass and metal chandelier in clear and cerulean-blue was hung over the area becoming an anchoring focal point for the space. A teal, turquoise and lime green round area rug repeating the circle design of the chandelier was chosen and placed center of the room. An embroidered turquoise wavy pattern fabric was selected for custom window treatments to frame the large windows and soften the space. To control the early morning east exposure from the sun, neutral motorized solar shades were selected and installed into the ceiling. Suzanne’s client loves this surprise as you enter the front door of her home.

Feng shui tip: Your feelings of comfort with your home or office space can be affected by two major factors: 1.) Your gut feeling towards that space. 2.) Your effort into that space. You can start out with a place of good feng shui and then put further effort into it. This picture shows two key factors of gutter and downspout installation. The new guttering is positioned so it overhangs the brick walls. This means rainwater is carried away from the walls, preventing possible damage to the brickwork and window frames. Notice the position and angle of the downspout. It doesn’t have a boot for water collection. This downspout has been designed and installed at an angle. This cleverly moves the rainwater down the sloped driveway where it can flow down into the street and into the town’s stormwater drain.
