This crisp, bright Master bathroom once had a cultured marble built-in tub, an enclosed shower, an unused seated make up area at the vanity and no door going into the bedroom. We demoed the shower and tub and started over! The Signature Hardware Leith freestanding tub opened up and updated the bathroom immensely. We installed Vicostone Statuario bathroom counter tops and all new Quality cabinets with a cotton paint. We opened up the once enclosed shower by demoing the full wall into a pony wall and installing glass to the upper portion, along with a frameless glass door. Naos Blanco 12"x24" large tile was used for the majority of the shower walls with a feature using 3"x6" Biltmore marble subway tile installed vertically creating a wow factor for this once dark enclosed shower. The shower floor is the same Biltmore tumbled polished tile but 2"x2" square. The existing glass in the three windows behind the tub were changed for a more updated look. We added new lighting, mirrors and polished chrome faucets and hardware that really brighten up the space even more. Our client requested a design that reflected their need to renovate their dated bathroom into a transitional floor plan that would provide accessibility and function. The new shower design consists of a pony wall with a glass enclosure that has beautiful details of brushed nickel square glass clamps. The interior shower fittings entail geometric lines that lend a contemporary finish. A curbless shower and linear drain added an extra dimension of accessibility to the plan. In addition, a balance bar above the accessory niche was affixed to the wall for extra stability. The shower area also includes a folding teak wood bench seat that also adds to the comfort of the bathroom as well as to the accessibility factors. Improved lighting was created with LED Damp-location rated recessed lighting. LED sconces were also used to flank the Robern medicine cabinet which created realistic and flattering light. Renovating this small 34 sq. ft. primary bathroom and creating a soft wow factor is achieved by maximizing the available space with strategic design choices. The light and neutral palette and the creative tile ideas have transformed this bathroom into a stylish and visually elegant space reflecting the client’s personal taste. The medicine cabinet with LED lighting creates the illusion of space by reflecting light and opening the room while strategically adding illumination to the space. Marble mosaic tile on the wall behind the toilet coordinates with large porcelain tiles and white subway tiles in the shower. The custom vanity has undermount sinks, and polished chrome fixture add a bright touch.

Who doesn’t love a fun powder room? We sure do! We wanted to incorporate design elements from the rest of the home using new materials and finishes to transform thiswashroom into the glamourous space that it is. This powder room features a furniturestyle vanity with NaturalCalacatta Corchia Marble countertops, hammered copper sink andstained oak millwork set against a bold and beautiful tile backdrop. But the fun doesn’t stop there, on the floors we used a dark and moody marble like tile to really add that wow factor and tie into the other elements within the space. The stark veining in these tiles pulls white, beige, gold, black and brown together to complete the look in this stunning little powder room.

One of our favorite clients requested our services once again, this time to update their outdated full bath. The main goal, aside from keeping the existing tub and surround in place, was to replace the tired vanity, small medicine cabinet, countertop, sink, flooring, light fixture, shower valve and trims with products that are more on trend. The desire was to create a wow factor and display their personal style. Designing a bath with transitional finishes and a clean aesthetic was top of mind when we selected a white painted inset-style vanity, contrasting marble-look quartz countertop in suede finish and classic 3” x 6” white subway wall tiles. Tying together different patterns and incorporating 8” x 8” black and white deco floor tiles provides an interesting and refreshing industrial look that is an expression of our client’s individuality and style. Adding to this industrial style feature was the double light fixture with clear seeded glass mounted over the new framed recessed medicine cabinet with matching painted finish. Also, a priority in the remodeling process was to provide proper ventilation to not only keep air moving, but to ensure moisture is cleared from the room while showering. WOW factor! This oversized chandelier from Currey & Company was sourced for this entry to make a statement for all who enter. Black and white is the go-to theme where it is played on the walls and rug. The doors were all painted black on both sides to add drama, drama, drama. Colorful abstract art was added to give just the right amount of pop.

The home is open and airy with vaulted ceilings and full of mementos from world adventures through the years, including to Cambodia, home of their much-adored sponsored daughter. The home, full of love and memories was host to a growing extended family of children and grandchildren. This was THE place. When the homeowner’s wife passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, he became determined to create a space that would continue to welcome and host his family and the many wonderful family memories that lay ahead but with an eye towards functionality. We started out by evaluating how the space would be used. Cooking and watching sports were key factors. So, we shuffled the current dining table into a rarely used living room whereby enlarging the kitchen. The kitchen now houses two large islands – one for prep and the other for seating and buffet space. We removed the wall between kitchen and family room to encourage interaction during family gatherings and of course a clear view to the game on TV. We also removed a dropped ceiling in the kitchen, and wow, what a difference. Next, we added some drama with a large arch between kitchen and dining room creating a stunning architectural feature between those two spaces. This arch echoes the shape of the large arch at the front door of the townhome, providing drama and significance to the space. The kitchen itself is large but does not have much wall space, which is a common challenge when removing walls. We added a bit more by resizing the double French doors to a balcony at the side of the house which is now just a single door. This gave more breathing room to the range wall and large stone hood but still provides access and light. We chose a neutral pallet of black, white, and white oak, with punches of blue at the counter stools in the kitchen. The cabinetry features a white shaker door at the perimeter for a crisp outline. Countertops and custom hood are black Caesarstone, and the islands are a soft white oak adding contrast and warmth. Two large built ins between the kitchen and dining room function as pantry space as well as area to display flowers or seasonal decorations. We repeated the blue in the dining room where we added a fresh coat of paint to the existing built ins, along with painted wainscot paneling. Above the wainscot is a neutral grass cloth wallpaper which provides a lovely backdrop for a wall of important mementos and artifacts. The dining room table and chairs were refinished and re-upholstered, and a new rug and window treatments complete the space. The room now feels ready to host more formal gatherings or can function as a quiet spot to enjoy a cup of morning coffee.

For a small bathroom this room packs a lot of wow factor!! We created a unique treatment to accent the cabinets to go with the sophisticated flow of this room and compliment the gorgeous Walker Zanger Tiled accent wall.
