Inspiration for a mediterranean kitchen remodel in San Francisco

Kyiv-based Makhno Studio has paired soft, bumpy textures and intricate ceramic walls inside this all-beige home in Ukraine, which was completed right before the Russian invasion. Located in Kozyn, a rural town just south of Kyiv, Mureli House is a celebration of summertime and Ukrainian design, with mureli being an old Ukrainian word for apricot.

The studio and its amazing leader Natalia Bolshakova are one of the main modern design forces right now in Europe. This interior design project is a country house with an area of 550 m2 that is located in Ukraine, not far from the city capital of Kyiv. Bolshakova Interiors such as Natalia Bolshakova, Olga Drachuk, and Petr Gerez were in charge of this project that cleary transmit a contemporary vibe that is supported by a keen sense of elegance that shines through all the details and all the modern furniture pieces.

Residence - Kyiv Region Area - 985 sqm Process time - 30 month Year - 2014 Residence is made in style of Italian region Toscana. It's full of finishing materials, elements of interior and décor, all of which were specially selected in Italy, Germany, France and were brought to Ukraine. For example, the deer head, fringy with age-old tapestry of XIX century. As a result we can see the castle kitchen with a spit in the fireplace 1,94 meter height hand thrown from marble. Well on the square in front of the house also made of marble. Beams and ceilings are made of age-old oak timber. The walls of landlord's bedroom are made of sheet-iron, covered wax, which combines with recherché textile Loro Piana. At juvenile's bedroom the age-old icons live side by side with Roy Lichtenstein's drawings.
