Inspiration for a small contemporary 3/4 multicolored tile and mosaic tile alcove shower remodel in Milwaukee

The homeowners wanted their third floor bathroom to reflect their rustic chic aesthetic. The third floor has a bonus room that will be used as a spare bedroom, too. They incorporated a rustic, distressed barn door, "vintage" and worn porcelain wood planking and "brick" for the main area. Shiplap and a cool western throwback vanity stick to a sense of continuity and rustic charm. The shower is a combination of a larger field tile (4x16) with a darker grout on the vertical, a wall of Island Stone mixed quartz stones and a rustic penny round. Check out those hooks...Moose! Charmingly rustic and very, very cool.

This bathroom remodel features Cabico Unique vanity, linen tower and matching mirror(s) cabinets with Cherry raised panel door style (565/P4/H) and Cognac stain finish with antique black glaze. This remodel also includes Cambria Quartz Buckingham color countertop Heathland 18x18 Amber bathroom floor. Other features include Heathland 12x12 Amber shower tile, Heathland 2x2 Sunset mosaic shower border, and Fidenza 2x2 shower floor. For Plumbing fixtures; Kohler Devonshire Oil Rubbed Bronze faucets, Victoria and Albert Cheshire Claw foot tub and Elizabethan classics Oil rubbed bronze for the tub filler.

An historic estate in the Hamptons, this project called for style-appropriate long-lasting hardware. The arched gates were outfitted with solid bronze gate latches, hinges, and cane bolts. Gates were hung with 4” Solid Bronze Heavy Duty Button Tip Hinges. Solid Bronze 20” Cane Bolts hold the fixed gate in place. The gates had relatively narrow stiles (vertical members) and so the box latch was used. The box latch has a shorter latching arm, which means it can be used on gates with narrow stiles. On the other side is a 5” plate with octagonal handle. NB: These site photos were taken from an active construction site in the midst of winter. Gates and hardware show rain and dirt.
