The designer came back to our workroom after the installation of the family room in her client’s home of a wide expanse of drapery panels and board mounted empire swags that were designed, the computer renderings of the treatment, (on the client’s own windows in a photograph) were approved and the treatment created and installed exactly like it was designed and approved, yet the client was not satisfied with the final look. It turns out that it looked too much like a treatment from his grandmother’s home in his childhood and he did not like it after all. The client was also in love with the design and installation of the window treatment that was in his dining room and he loved the hardware that was used from Galaxy Design. The client also did not want his extensive crown moldings and columns covered up that he had spent a great deal to have installed. This was a challenge that we were happy to undertake. We did away with all airconditioners in the common areas and master bedroom, and converted them to concealed ductable ones. The entire ceiling and lighting plan was redesigned to highlight and accentuate walls and art. Each piece of furniture, all the tv units and joinery, and art are bespoke - designed to synergise and flow seamlessly with the colour and style scheme of the entire house. The entire undertaking was completed from design stages to handing over in 7 months.

The Colonial White granite countertops tie the perimeter and island cabinetry together perfectly. Refinished hardwood floors and a simple subway tile backsplash cap off the new look.

These homeowners were anxiously ready to remodel their dated 80’s kitchen and reached out to Renovisions to handle the transformation. In this new undertaking we met to discuss plans to brighten the dark room with custom painted white inset cabinets, adding more functional storage, better task lighting and GE Monogram appliances, new hardwood flooring throughout and creating a better flow into the adjacent family room. In order to open up the space, Renovisions suggested creating an angle at the peninsula. Continuing with this approach we replaced the rear door with a new one-light door that swings out instead of in to accommodate new bar stools and a better flow of traffic in and out to the deck outside. Silestone’s quartz countertops in ‘Merope’ were the perfect choice adding a nice contrast yet truly durable and low maintenance. Creating a beautifully unique subway tile niche in linen color at cooktop area and backsplash added an elegant touch to the overall look and homeowners were thrilled with this refreshing look after the Renovision. Now their newly renovated kitchen is a showcase and nicely outfitted for family and friends.

Our Client decided to renovate and expand her home after living in it for close to 35 years. She had previously worked with John Crawley AIA to remodel her kitchen and dining areas and was ready to undertake the rest of the house. We loved John Crawley's approach of selectively lifting the ceilings and flooding the common areas with light and let this inform our design approach throughout. The addition of the new library and library bath was intended to open up the house to both the interior and the exterior, while maintaining a seamless connection to previous work. The original 1970's house had an outdated master suite with a vanity area outside the tiny bathroom and adjacent tiny closet. Our Client was ready to overhaul the space annexing an adjacent underutilized bedroom for a generous master bath and open it to the beautiful backyard hillside with a private patio. The remainder of the house was given a variety of touches and updates including new windows, bathroom countertops and millwork and new colors throughout. Finally, a brise soleil was added to the front of the house.
