We took this existing cut out in the wall and creates a beautiful built in with integrated TV cabinet and useable storage. The natural wood tone on the glass cabinet doors gives it a little contrast. The black handles on the soft close drawers make it useable and efficient for this client with small children.

This 3D perspective drawing was part of the design package. This couple wanted to make their typical San Francisco backyard into something special. The yard had some nice plants but little useable space or attractive ground treatment. They had built a kidney-shaped planter with block walls as a weekend project a few years back, and they wanted to keep this. We came up with a design that used the kidney-shaped planter as a focal point. We added a lot of useable space with a bi-level concentric circular patio. By constructing the patio on two levels, we were able to keep most of the excavated soil on site instead of bringing it to the landfill. The outer circle consists of interlocking concrete pavers, while the raised inner circle is paved with natural Arizona flagstone. We enhanced the kidney planter by making another circular planter around it from matching wall blocks. The circular tree beds add interest by echoing the circle theme of the yard.

This client wanted a welcoming walk down to their home, and to create a useable level space. A large retaining wall provides a flat area for gathering around the fire pit. Shade-loving plants and a mix of rock and mulch provides interest to the rest of the yard.

Major remodel, changing all flat surfaces and wall finishes. Removed glass wall and replaced with cable railing. Poorly constructed deck was removed and replaced with new fiberon composite deck. Full pool remodel creating sunken spa with glass surround, added tanning ledge and shallowed the shallow end of pool to create more useable space. Old brick walls were veneered with wood plank tile, spout water features added and raised artificial turf area behind pool creates more useable space and allows for great jumping off spot for the kids (it is a dive pool).
