Our small modern wine cellar has a similar aesthetic to this home's outdoor balcony — glass panels, natural stone, neutral palette, etc. The owner wanted to build a cellar that looked as amazing as this view but within the hallway, so that's what the Wine Cellar Designers Group gave them!

This residence's glass wine cellar was very visible from the second floor. Since it was built on the middle of the house (no existing walls), we decided to construct it has high as the ceiling where we can let the AC flow in. As you can see, there is still extra space on the sides of the wine cellar to stack the crates in.

In this wine cellar conversion project, which we have completed in Los Angeles, Palisades, California, we used metal wine racks to achieve a contemporary feel. The spaces on the three sides of the room were maximized.

Water in regular humidifiers is typically replaced at least 1x a week. For this client's small wine cellar though, we assembled a self-refilling humidifier system that doesn't need much attention. We hid the system inside a semi-closing drawer so it does not distract the clean design of the cellar and humidor.

Who would've thought a simple modern wine cellar could fit into a small hallway? Despite its size, this here is a fully functional wine display area, complete with sufficient, wine-cellar grade insulation, air-tight glass panels, and an efficient climate control system!

On the back wall, you'll find the thermostat, temperature control, and humidity control for the cooling unit. We used an industry-grade, split-type cooling unit from Wine Guardian to keep temperature and humidity at the optimum range.

Small wine closets like this one, need modern techniques to make them fully functional without compromising design. One modern feature we incorporated is the single glass door, tempered and built specifically for wine cellars. This isn't your regular glass shower door since it's built to keep the heat out of the wine cellar.

This contemporary wine cellar design was created for a home in Los Angeles, California. The metal wine racks are of high quality and creates an illusion of bottle floating in the air.
We used glass doors so the beautiful wine display can be viewed from outside the wine room.

Instead of transforming the entire area into a large wine cellar, the owners opted to build a small wine cellar with glass on just one side. This is because they love spending a lot of time sipping wine and enjoying a stick of cigar. Having a dedicated space where they can do this, like the dining table you see here, is a kind of comfort they'd like to have.

To keep the space feel open, we opted for a glass enclosure instead of solid hardwood walls. This was a more cost-effective way since building a solid wall would require us to install plenty of insulation. Having glass wine enclosures would only require us to seal the edges, and we did it by using U-channels and adding a little bit of spray foam.

A ducted, modern air conditioning system was the best option for this small wine closet. It didn't use up a single space that could limit the number of wines we can store and it didn't distort the overall design of the cellar since we hid the air duct behind a white-painted metal grille.

This Villa overlooking the Costa Brava of Spain was designed and built by Vicente Mensua for his good friends who reside full time in New York City. The home is designed for indoor outdoor living, with colorful courtyards, an artists studio, a guest suite and amazing views of the ocean and surrounding Mediterranean valley. African rosewood shutters balance with vibrant colors. Sharp angles are set off nicely against the strong Spanish sun.
