This modern wine cellar in San Diego features metal rods and supports to create a functional and stylish wine storage space. The use of metal rods allows the cellar to make use of the limited space under the stairs, while still being able to store a large quantity of wine. All of the drapery panels throughout the main level of the house were hand embroidered down the leading of edge of the ivory linen face panels with this moorish inspired pattern. A natural, open weave, sheer fabric is attached to the backs of the panels, exposed at the leading edges. This application adds lovely texture from the outside of the home, softening the ivory and blending with the stone and stucco exterior.

This Travertine wall Fountain is decorated with a diamond cut tile installation, this brings your eyes attention to the center basin and spout. The above ground Basin captures the large body of water as it descends from the center basin. The Bottom Basin is finished with a decorative engraving. The hardscape of the space is finished with stone tile pavers with 6 inch grass joints that soften the space.

These innovative LED panels are located in the corners of the wine cellar, providing a balanced display of the client's most treasured bottles. The corner racks consist of six layers of LED panels, from bottom to top, where the client can display one or two bottles. The LED lighting is adjustable, and the client can change its settings to create different moods or atmospheres. This allows the client to fully customize their wine-drinking experience. Modern luxury meets warm farmhouse in this Southampton home! Scandinavian inspired furnishings and light fixtures create a clean and tailored look, while the natural materials found in accent walls, casegoods, the staircase, and home decor hone in on a homey feel. An open-concept interior that proves less can be more is how we’d explain this interior. By accentuating the “negative space,” we’ve allowed the carefully chosen furnishings and artwork to steal the show, while the crisp whites and abundance of natural light create a rejuvenated and refreshed interior. This sprawling 5,000 square foot home includes a salon, ballet room, two media rooms, a conference room, multifunctional study, and, lastly, a guest house (which is a mini version of the main house).

The modern RM4600 split-type cooling unit from US Cellar Systems was chosen for this project by the Coastal Custom Wine Cellars team. Because of its clever and successful installation, the wine cooling equipment is hidden from view outside of the home, away from the wine room, which is accessible from the exterior of the house. The wine cellar is free of noise produced by the cooling unit because of this installation technique, which protects the wine collection against vibrations. The compressor equipment for the modern wine cellar cooling unit was placed behind the client's home. This enables greater noise and heat dissipation away from the wine cellar. A 3 1/2 inch spray foam application was added to aid in the prevention of moisture build-up on the wine cellar walls. Mold protection is important since wine bottles attract fungus that ruins corks. The wine cellar glass door was additionally protected with several additional gaskets. The seals aid the pivot hinge, ensuring that the wine room is kept stable and secure as a result of external humidity and temperature changes.
