A high performance private home theater creates an escape for these clients to enjoy movies in the privacy and comfort of their home. Extensive performance engineering and acoustical design was coordinated with the interior design by Paradise Theater, resulting in a truly bespoke experience. Mixed seating was selected to allow for casual comfort in the front row, with more traditional theater seating in the rear, providing the best of both worlds! This was a challenging room from a performance standpoint; remodel construction, odd shaped room architecture, existing hvac ducts running across one side of the room, a window on one side, a laundry room adjacent to the theater, the list went on! Paradise Theater assessed the conditions, specified and designed an appropriate sound isolation system and designed every detail of the room to guarantee an extraordinary experience for our clients.

This client wanted to create a media room experience in the family room. The flat panel TV mounted behind the screen was not giving him the desired experience. We use the existing structure to recess the screen into the ceiling above, while also building the projector into its own enclosure at the rear of the room. The effect: an easily hidden home theater in the center of the home!

This lower level space started off as a storage space for inherited household furniture and miscellaneous infrequently used items. Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors reimagined the space as it now exists using some of our clients few requirements including a stage for the family comedians at the rear of the lower level, a movie screening area, a serving table for frequent soiree’s, and cozy resilient furnishings. We infused style into this lower level changing the paint colors, adding new carpet to absorb sound and provide style. We also were sure to include color in the space strategically. A dear client who resides in Mcallen-TX requested a Full Backyard Design including a pool, outdoor kitchen, firepit, edible garden, art, and a secluded area for quiet reading and privacy among other structures and hardscape. We proceeded with the design process virtually due to his location being away from The Woodlands, TX. The client filled a questionnaire with specific questions regarding his site nature, style, and needs. He sent photos of the existing landscape, survey, and photos from the house interior that would help us match his modern style to his outdoor space. This garden in Irvine needed a refresh. There were lots of tired plants that needed to go and lots of potential to add some pizzazz without breaking the bank. There also needed to be some way to get in the back from the side, which was done with a flagstone path to match the existing flagstone. Our client in a small downtown Toronto home renovated, creating an open floor plan. They didn't want a TV on the wall so we mounted a Sony projector behind a pillar and used the existing painted wall above the fireplace as a theatre screen. The Marantz audio receiver was hidden in a nearby closet keeping with a clean minimal aesthetic. To create a home theatre surround sound experience, we placed three in-ceiling speakers above the fireplace and two above the sofa. We fitted the bay windows in the open living and dining room with sheer Lutron blinds. For strong Wi-Fi we installed a Ubiquiti network system strategically placing hard wired, wireless access points throught the home.
