This was a small bonus room that could easily have been an exercise room. The owners decided that they would like it to be a sewing room and also house the kids' video/electronic games. It has two beautiful exposed brick walls which we did not touch other than to clean.

When Helena decided it was time for a new kitchen, MCG reimagined this spacious and well-lit living space and delivered a product that she absolutely loved. Graystone Forevermark shaker style cabinets and Meridian Gray quartz countertop create an eye-pleasing color combination, while hardwood floors and matching textured backsplash add warmth to the overall cooler color scheme. In-cabinet integrated microwaves saves additional space, while stainless steel appliances, fixtures, and hardware tie together the entire ensemble of this practical, tailored, and well-appointed kitchen.

This home was built in 1983 and looked every bit its age. As is so often the case, the owners purchased it because it was a great deal, in a great school district and had "good bones." But the accolades ended at the curb. The home was a hotbed of bad choices and not to their liking. So armed with YouTube video and a Home Depot card they set out to change it.
After years of DIYing it and still not happy, the owners decided it was time to call Alair and get the expertise of professional help if they were ever going to have the home of their dreams.

The owners of this newly renovated brownstone wanted to create a comfortable environment where the family could get together to relax and watch movies. Without the space for a traditional Home Theater, they wanted a theater quality experience in the living room.
They were concerned that too much hardware (cable boxes, speakers, TV stand, etc.) would intrude on their living space. So, we installed an Invisible Surround Sound System, specifically designed to blend in with drywall (You can even paint or wallpaper over it), and recessed the Smart TV so the screen is flush with the wall. They also decided to hide the necessary hardware in a custom built AV credenza.
