a zellige in the subway shape is a 2"x6". traditionally in morroco, this is a new and adventurous take on the subway tile trend. if you are in search of subway tiles with an exotic twist- zellige subway is perfect for you. they are also thicker than normal zellige, expect a 3/4" thickness. here we see our weathered white, very quiet but has a lot of texture, very gorgeous installation.

This project reimagines an under-used back yard in Portland, Oregon, creating an urban garden with an adjacent writer’s studio. Taking inspiration from Japanese precedents, we conceived of a paving scheme with planters, a cedar soaking tub, a fire pit, and a seven-foot-tall cedar fence. A maple tree forms the focal point and will grow to shade the yard. Board-formed concrete planters house conifers, maples and moss, appropriate to the Pacific Northwest climate.

Oceanfront Beach, Rental Cottage was updated with a soft beach glass color palate on walls, with pops of color in bedding & accessories. The origional cottage was primary colors and the owner wanted a fresh approach to the home.
Baths were updated with new fixtures & hardware, kitchen counters replaced with granite, new hardware and lighitng. counters. Carpeting was replaced with LVT plank flooring, a weathered wood look was selected for the color palette.
New furniture with repurposed accent tables throughout.

This shot beautifully captures all of the different materials used in the staircase from the entry way to the upper floors and guest quarters. The steps are made of kiln dried fir beams from the Oregon Coast, each beam was a free of heart center cut. The railing was built in place to make it look as though it was all on continuous piece. The steps to the third floor office in the top left of the picture are floating and held in place with metal support in the grinder finish. The flooring in the entry way is 2'x3' tiles of Pennsylvania Bluestone. In the bottom left hand corner is a reclaimed sliding barn door that leads to the laundry room, made in a patchwork pattern by local artist, Rob Payne.
