After their brand new construction was completed, this family had a beautiful and comfortable home that truly fit their needs. However, this new construction lacked an outdoor living space, which left the backyard feeling stark and bare. With this blank slate, we were able to create a relaxing environment for this family to enjoy.
Faced with the challenge of using every square-inch of this small space, Native Edge was able to design a landscape that left this family worry-free. We incorporated a low maintenance composite decking system, modern raised metal planters, and a bubbling urn water feature to tie this peaceful landscape together. The poor drainage of the lot gave us the opportunity to create a striking cat walk and drainage feature, which left ample room for their vegetable and herb garden hobby. There is even a nook for the family dog to enjoy!

If you’re on the prowl for some seriously salacious wallpaper that celebrates eroticism, masculinity and sexual liberation, then Tom of Finland is for you! A collaboration two years in the works, this carnal creation comprises two designs—TAME and XXX—both conceived by Michael Reynolds, Hoffman Creative and the Tom of Finland Foundation. A bold and ballsy tribute to the dynamic graphite and pencil drawings of Touko Laaksonen (aka Tom of Finland), the famed renegade Finnish artist known for his stylized homoerotic art and its profound effect on late twentieth century gay culture and fetish lifestyle. From cops, cowboys and bikers, to sailors, lumberjacks and leather men — there’s a little something (and then some) for everyone. That-a-boy!
Michael Reynolds is a New York-based creative director, curator, editorial stylist, book editor and design consultant. He is the US Editor of Wallpaper* Magazine and Editor at Large for Architectural Digest USA. His first book, TOM HOUSE – Tom of Finland in Los Angeles, is available through Rizzoli Publications.
Eric Hoffman founded Hoffman Creative a decade ago in New York, a firm creating brand identities for a range of clients with an ethos rooted in psychology and emotional intelligence.
Tom of Finland Foundation maintains the archive and former Los Angeles home of the 20th-century artist, known for his graphic, highly stylized illustrations. Dedicated to protecting and preserving erotic art and erotic arts education, the foundation continues to advocate the artist’s significant influence on gay and LGBT culture.

A petite antique inverted dome chandelier with opaline shade, marked with a patent date of June 2, 1914. This chandelier begins with an simple canopy, extending down in three chains to support the shade below. Each chain is fastened to the opaline shade with a grooved volute; the shade is ornamented with an understated, gadrooned design crowned with a scalloped band. This light fixture is in very good condition with a minor chip at the top of the shade which does not detract from its beauty (as pictured.) It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture is approximately 11-3/4" wide, 7-1/4" tall, and 24-1/2" long overall.
