The cooking center of the patio is a Weber gas grill with side burner. The brick structure was created with the purpose of providing a place for the grill and for the chef.

The Weber Performer Silver. Comes with a built in thermometer and tool hooks along with storage space. This grill is also portable.

Where before the den just inside was dark and dreary is is now filled with light. The deck is Ipe' with cedar side boards. The awning is cedar with polycarbonate sheeting. The new south-facing porch off of the kitchen provides a covered entry and outdoor seating area. A free-standing garage was also designed by Weil Friedman. Two latticed enclosures, accommodating an outdoor shower and storage area, create a niche for the Weber grill.
