Referencing the wife and 3 daughters for which the house was named, four distinct but cohesive design criteria were considered for the 2016 renovation of the circa 1890, three story masonry rowhouse:
1. To keep the significant original elements – such as
the grand stair and Lincrusta wainscoting.
2. To repurpose original elements such as the former
kitchen pocket doors fitted to their new location on
the second floor with custom track.
3. To improve original elements - such as the new "sky
deck" with its bright green steel frame, a new
kitchen and modern baths.
4. To insert unifying elements such as the 3 wall
benches, wall openings and sculptural ceilings.

The other project continuing from the Geometric Built In utilizes the reclaimed Ash for sleek modern hand rails and ladders.
The clean squared handrail sits on top clear coated flat bar steel all fastened to the wall with our designed steel rail brackets.
Up to the landing you will see the integrated ladder which leads to a little nook designated as a music space!
On the upper floor the steel and Ash wood design is carried into a second ladder designed for a top bunk of a kids sleeping nook.
Unique spaces can be challenging but they always a lot of fun to work on!

Stone two-sided fireplace with up lighting underneath the top stone. Hardwood floors in the formal living room, porcelain wood grain tiles for the kitchen, dining, wine cellar and exterior patio.
Pool and backyard landscaping are the only previous features that remained from the original home, minus a few walls on the interior and newly installed waterless grass for the ground cover.
Designed with a standing seam metal roof, with internal drainage system for hidden gutters design. Rain chain and rain barrels for rain harvesting.
Retrofitted with Hardy Frames prefabricated shear walls for up to date earthquake safety. Opening both walls to the backyard, there are now two 14' folding doors allowing the inside and outside to merge.
