Soft blue color palette, reminiscence of the snow just outside the window. The blue provides a nice contrast to the rest of the home.
Wood-clad walls were unchanged by the design team. We love the rustic, natural element that is original to the home. The wood walls throughout the home add so much character – they’re great. Custom built-in bunks were designed by the LU design team. Even though this cabin is small, it sleeps a lot! Designers kept this in mind, maximizing the amount of guest that could stay here.

Dropped soffits were removed and original ceiling heights were restored with new crown moldings, paneled walls and custom built-ins, to bring Old World glamour back to this Upper East Side apartment. The traditional painted wood mantel ties in with the new paneled walls. The custom steel and gold-leafed fireplace screen is by La Forge Française.

This custom home was designed by the talented architects at Platt Architecture. “Reclaimed Wonder” is located in the private golf community Wade Hampton Golf Club in Cashiers, North Carolina. Every detail of this home was designed to create a work of art. Not only is the small mountain town of Cashiers a truly beautiful place, but this luxury home creates a beautiful retreat as well. The color palette of the reclaimed wood beams and wall planks along with the indigenous stone choices and carefully appointed warm amber lighting creates an ambiance true to the natural beauty surrounding the home.

Reclaimed Wood Ceiling Paneling and Flooring from Manomin Resawn Timbers bring warmth to this traditional hallway landing, showing off natural grain and texture overhead and underfoot. The wood pairs beautifully with deep green built-in cabinetry and a long window seat, all framed by a wall of windows looking out over the surrounding trees.
Every piece of our reclaimed wood ceiling paneling and flooring is salvaged from 19th century barns, factories, and warehouses, carrying the marks and character of its original life into a new space. Through our detailed process of denailing, kiln drying, and precision milling, we preserve the natural grain, knots, and texture that give reclaimed wood its distinctive look while preparing it for a prominent place in a modern home.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, or a homeowner shopping for ceiling paneling or flooring with real depth and character, Manomin Resawn Timbers has stunning reclaimed wood to suit your needs. Visit our showroom in Hugo, MN or reach out to us with a call or a message to discover the antique charm of reclaimed wood.

Our clients are seasoned home renovators. Their Malibu oceanside property was the second project JRP had undertaken for them. After years of renting and the age of the home, it was becoming prevalent the waterfront beach house, needed a facelift. Our clients expressed their desire for a clean and contemporary aesthetic with the need for more functionality. After a thorough design process, a new spatial plan was essential to meet the couple’s request. This included developing a larger master suite, a grander kitchen with seating at an island, natural light, and a warm, comfortable feel to blend with the coastal setting.
Demolition revealed an unfortunate surprise on the second level of the home: Settlement and subpar construction had allowed the hillside to slide and cover structural framing members causing dangerous living conditions. Our design team was now faced with the challenge of creating a fix for the sagging hillside. After thorough evaluation of site conditions and careful planning, a new 10’ high retaining wall was contrived to be strategically placed into the hillside to prevent any future movements.
With the wall design and build completed — additional square footage allowed for a new laundry room, a walk-in closet at the master suite. Once small and tucked away, the kitchen now boasts a golden warmth of natural maple cabinetry complimented by a striking center island complete with white quartz countertops and stunning waterfall edge details. The open floor plan encourages entertaining with an organic flow between the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. New skylights flood the space with natural light, creating a tranquil seaside ambiance. New custom maple flooring and ceiling paneling finish out the first floor.
Downstairs, the ocean facing Master Suite is luminous with breathtaking views and an enviable bathroom oasis. The master bath is modern and serene, woodgrain tile flooring and stunning onyx mosaic tile channel the golden sandy Malibu beaches. The minimalist bathroom includes a generous walk-in closet, his & her sinks, a spacious steam shower, and a luxurious soaking tub. Defined by an airy and spacious floor plan, clean lines, natural light, and endless ocean views, this home is the perfect rendition of a contemporary coastal sanctuary.

This living room in a wabi-sabi lakeside retreat designed by PKA Architecture and Yond Interiors features an antique elm ceiling paired with antique elm box beams, bringing warmth and natural texture throughout the open concept space. A wet bar with matching wood cabinetry sits just beyond a live edge coffee table, striped bench seating, and a boucle accent chair, while a staircase with painted balusters anchors the room in soft, muted tones true to the home's restrained palette.
Our antique elm ceiling paneling and box beams are milled from barn timbers dating from 1820 to 1880, carrying unique marks such as wormholes, peg holes, and mortise pockets left behind by centuries old woodworking. Because widespread Dutch Elm Disease in the 1970s made new elm nearly impossible to find, reclaimed elm remains one of the only ways to bring its warm, inviting tones into a home. The natural hues of reclaimed elm are bright and comforting, showing tans, light browns, and a subtle tinge of red that gives the wood an almost iridescent shimmer, embodying the wabi-sabi appreciation for natural imperfection and the passage of time.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, a homeowner, or a designer planning a living room like this, Manomin Resawn Timbers has the antique elm paneling and box beams to bring warmth and character to your home.
