A great way to brighten up a bedroom is with painted nightstands. In this case, we wanted to maintain a calming environment with neutral wall colors and bedding. Custom furniture, paintings and iron screens elevate the room when combined with the visual interest of geometric patterned light fixtures and horizontal striped curtains in a variation of colors. A little bit masculine, with a LOT of personality...these wood slats changed up the entire space on this office accent wall. We first painted the wall with our favorite Sherwin Williams black paint and then the plywood (to save money!) slats were installed atop.
