Studio 76 Kitchens and BathsA new-build modern farmhouse included an open kitchen with views to all the first level rooms, including dining area, family room area, back mudroom and front hall entries. Rustic-styled beams provide support between first floor and loft upstairs. A 10-foot island was designed to fit between rustic support posts. The rustic alder dark stained island complements the L-shape perimeter cabinets of lighter knotty alder. Two full-sized undercounter ovens by Wolf split into single spacing, under an electric cooktop, and in the large island are useful for this busy family. Hardwood hickory floors and a vintage armoire add to the rustic decor.
Riddle Construction & DesignBlending knotty alder cabinets with classic quartz countertops, subway tile and rich oak flooring makes this open plan kitchen a warm retreat. Wrapped posts now replace previous structural walls and flank the extra-large island. Pro appliances, an apron sink and heavy hardware completes the rustic look. The adjacent bathroom features the same materials along with trendy encaustic floor tile for fun.

CabAveThe clearances between the island and the perimeter cabinetry ensure enough walkway space to allow more than one person to work in and pass through the kitchen. We tied in the color of the island to a crown moulding onlay of the same color on the perimeter cabinets. This was the finishing touch that linked their color scheme. The end of the pantry cabinet was custom made and is operable to store mail.
Charles River Wine CellarsA perennial favorite....Double divided glass doors welcome guests into this one of a kind wine cellar. Columns of New England Fieldstone support a long barrel arched rustic Knotty Alder T&G ceiling. Rustic Alder wine racking is divided equally for individual bottles and diamond bins, creating a pleasing symmetrical design. A rustic reclaimed table serves as the center island and completes the ambience.
KraftMaidA baking station creates a dedicated area in the kitchen for sifting, mixing, rolling and cutting. It keeps all of your supplies close at hand and prevents the cookie- or cake-making from intruding on the rest of the kitchen activity. With all of the mixing bowls, egg shells and flour spills in one place, cleanup is quick and easy.
