Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States This brand-new townhouse at Pierhouse, Brooklyn was a gorgeous space, but was crying out for some personalization to reflect our clients vivid, sophisticated and lively design aesthetic. Bold Patterns and Colors were our friends in this fun and eclectic project. Our amazing clients collaborated with us to select the fabrics for the den's custom Roche Bobois Mah Jong sofa and we also customized a vintage swedish rug from Doris Leslie Blau. for the Living Room Our biggest challenge was to capture the space under the Staircase so that it would become usable for this family. transFORM’s custom designed wall beds provide comfort, convenience and charm without sacrificing valuable floor space. This multifunctional unit was made with White High Gloss and complementing Latte and Light Driftwood finishes. Tastefully accented with large handle, chrome finished hardware and paired with a pop of color, this neutral combination proves to be anything but dull. Convenience and functionality play a big role in the design of this unit. A wall bed is a perfect addition to any spot that doubles as a guest room or has a limited amount of floor space. Converting your wall bed is a stress-free operation that requires very little effort. In just a few seconds you can unfold this convenient bed into instant sleeping arrangements, complete with a comfortable standard-size mattress. Our convertible design makes it simple to fold out the bed and tuck it back away when not in use. This dual-purpose unit was designed with tons of cabinetry and shelving for extra storage. With two large cabinets, you can easily hang a long skirt with enough room underneath to store your favorite footwear. Front to back pull-out hanging rods provide ample hanging space in a shallow cabinet. Visualizing your available clothing options face on will cut down the time it takes to mix and match the perfect ensemble. This design also includes plenty of deep drawer storage, which can be a useful place for storing spare linens. Top shelves are a perfect way to personalize your room with mementos, collectibles and home décor. Open shelving offers a substantial amount of depth, allowing you to display your exclusive handbags. Conveniently kept in the lower cabinet is a hide away ironing board. The drawer mounted ironing board slides out when needed and easily folds up when not in use. It also rotates, which gives you the freedom to position it where you feel most comfortable. Having necessities readily available can make tedious house chores a little more enjoyable. This design is completed with integrated LED lighting. Positioned by the bed, touch dimmable LED’s provide mood lighting for your living space. Within the open shelving, recessed LED lights enhance the look of the unit while showcasing your displayed possessions. This remodel went from a tiny story-and-a-half Cape Cod, to a charming full two-story home. The mudroom features a bench with cubbies underneath, and a shelf with hooks for additional storage. The full glass back door provides natural light while opening to the backyard for quick access to the detached garage. The wall color in this room is Benjamin Moore HC-170 Stonington Gray. This hallway was part of a larger remodel of an attic space which included the hall, master bedroom, bathroom and nursery. Painted a brilliant white and borrowing light from the frosted, glass inset nursery and bedroom doors, this light hardwood space is lined on one side with custom, built-in storage. Making the most of the sloping eave space and pony wall, there is room for stacking, hanging and multiple drawer depths, very versatile storage. The cut-out pulls and toe-kick registers keep the floor and walkway clear of any extrusions. Whole-house remodel of a hillside home in Seattle. The historically-significant ballroom was repurposed as a family/music room, and the once-small kitchen and adjacent spaces were combined to create an open area for cooking and gathering. A compact master bath was reconfigured to maximize the use of space, and a new main floor powder room provides knee space for accessibility. This two-car garage storage system includes four cabinets and a stack of drawers for storage of everyday items, as well as concealed storage behind sliding closet doors and vertical storage of bulky sports equipment, including surfboards and bike racks. This charming butler’s pantry is thoughtfully designed as a practical prep space, supporting many of the family’s everyday routines. Equipped with its own prep sink overlooking the lush garden, it’s the perfect spot for morning routines—where coffee is brewed and breakfast toasts and cereal are prepared with ease. Open shelving, accented with classic corbel detailing, provides the perfect place to store vases used for arranging fresh flowers from the garden. It also stores neatly organized pantry canisters and jars of homemade jam from the orchard. Ample shallow-depth cabinets keep canned and boxed goods within easy reach, while small appliances tuck neatly into cupboards beneath the countertop. Additional drawers are dedicated to storing the family’s assortment of water bottles, keeping everything organized and easy to find. A tongue-and-groove backsplash adds subtle texture while offering an easy-to-clean surface, blending historical beauty with practicality. A secondary refrigerator and freezer provides extra cold storage, ensuring the space is well-equipped.

The now updated primary bathroom feels much more open, purposeful, and the shower footprint has tripled. Modern whites and creamy neutrals give this attractive bathroom a calming Zen yet chic aesthetic. Custom Walnut cabinetry adds depth and richness, providing generous storage while complementing the leathered Taj Mahal stone surface and polished nickel fixtures. A double niche was incorporated in the design for convenient space- saving storage and a smart toilet bidet was necessary for comfort. Every material was chosen for its beauty and function, resulting in a serene, spa-like environment that invites daily relaxation and doesn’t fall into a single style category.

The cabinets are from Cuisine Ideale in the cabinet line color New Gray. We decided to carry this color onto the trim to give a more seamless look carrying throughout the space. Take note of the tall storage cabinets that we carried into the laundry room.
