Total renovation for a small backyard garden in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. The scope included a bluestone patio, horizontal cedar fence with built in planters and bench with storage. Overhead cafe string lights and a pendant fixture allow this family to enjoy their garden after dark. Low maintenance flowering perennials and grasses as well as herbs and vegetables fill the planted areas.

The goal was to create an exterior space that could be used to take full advantage of the beautiful backyard area. Our designers stayed true to the Tudor-style aesthetic by creating a welcoming space that could be used for three seasons of the year. Our Bolivia client used Brunswick Tile and Flooring to help select and install porcelain tile on a screened back porch floor. The American Olean Laurel Heights Elevated Beige porcelain tile upgraded the existing cement surface with style while providing the homeowner a durable product for outdoors that is easy to clean and capable of providing increased comfort to the bare feet when relaxing outdoors.

Bigger is not always better, but something of highest quality is. This amazing, size-appropriate Lake Michigan cottage is just that. Nestled in an existing historic stretch of Lake Michigan cottages, this new construction was built to fit in the neighborhood, but outperform any other home in the area concerning energy consumption, LEED certification and functionality. Located in the private Cypress Point neighborhood in Plano, this small backyard was transformed from a small garden area to an updated and modern outdoor living area. In addition to the new covered porch and fire place, we have added outdoor seating for chaise lounges, along with a modern plunge pool & spa with raised backdrop fountain feature. The project also features built-in seating, fountain spillways, decorative pool tile, step stones and all new landscaping to provide a lush, private retreat for the owners.
