My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

My love for interior design started at a very young age when I would help with my family's annual holiday decorating. I just loved the creative process of finding the right spot to display each piece to highlight its individual qualities and beauty. Knowing design was more than just a personal hobby, I chose to turn my passion into a career. I received my Bachelor’s of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Bellevue College in 2011. As an interior designer, I have a trained eye for individual materials and how to create unique combinations through color, texture and feel. I will listen to your personal needs and will assist you to design a space that is expertly matched to your own individual preferences and aesthetic. Everything in your home expresses your own unique style. I enjoy the process of discovering what that style is and will offer my experience to create a space that exceeds your expectations. Working with the items you love, I will design a cohesive look for your living space using layering techniques, color, comfortable furnishings and accessories. The end result is a space that will be the home you always wanted.

We had a wonderful experience working with Ally on a major kitchen remodel. We moved a wall, added an island, redid the floors, etc. It was such a relief to be able to confidently move forward with these major decisions, thanks to having a designer that we trusted. Two things that I think really stood out were: 1. Her responsiveness. Not only did Ally respond to messages quickly, but she was able to turn around full renders of our kitchen with design tweaks really fast as well. 2. Her honesty and willingness to push back on certain ideas. This is what we wanted in a professional designer. Some of my decisions/preferences would not have actually worked well, and we wouldn't have known that until the project was finished. Fortunately, Ally was able to steer us in the right direction many times, and we were able to trust that she knew what she was talking about.

In brief - Ally and AJX Design Co are an excellent choice for all your housing design needs. She is an excellent partner throughout the process and has a great "bedside manner" to help her clients achieve their goals, within budget. I was taking out two structural walls to create an open floor plan and shifting the kitchen in my 90s-built house and didn't know where to start in a lot of ways. Lucky for us, Ally jumped in, listened to our scattered ideas and thoughts, pinpointed our design style, and led us to the layout and design we wanted, but didn't know how to bring to life. She is extremely communicative and is great at guiding you away from pitfalls and poor decisions that you might not see, and towards your goals. She works tirelessly to ensure your project is a success and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of housing-related design.

After designing an amazing kitchen, I knew exactly who to go to with the guest room design. I'm awful at putting things together but Ally patiently went over my ideas and translated it into a thoughtful and cohesive design. The design packet she put together was thorough and covered every aspect of the design: from paint color, to art, to rug choices. She didn't just drop and run though: she was available and supportive throughout the entire process. Even helped find other options when some items went out of stock! The end product was a beautiful and welcoming guest room that has already hosted several guests who all love the room and are excited to visit again!

I had the pleasure of working with Ally to design the interior of my new build home. I was initially very nervous with the whole process but Ally’s experience and knowledge of interior design soon relieved any anxiety I had. Ally was able to take my design board and meticulously curate samples that worked really well together and matched the vibe of what I wanted. The attention to detail was evident in every choice, from the color of the cabinets to the sleek countertops. The end result was a home that was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t be happier with the design choices of my home and know that I will love it for years to come.

I had so much fun working with Ally who helped create our elegant living room space. She is personable, professional, talented, detail oriented and very reliable. Ally embodies innate artistic abilities that are combined with technical aspects of design that are evident from her professional education as well as her experience. She listens well and she helped me develop and execute a vision that I brought to her in its primitive stages. I love how she gave me inspiration and challenged me to think outside of my limited concept of design. I learned so much about design concepts from Ally! She comes highly recommended. Thank you for the beautiful living room space that you helped create, Ally. I am still in awe every time I look at it.

We were searching for a connection with a designer. Ethan Allen was our 3rd stop and we both instantly connected with Ally! She has positive energy, is firm in her design beliefs yet easily incorporated our style and wishes into her designs. Exactly what we needed! She isn't easily offended and truly wanted us to be happy. She has a great eye! Custom furniture can be scary, but we trusted Ally and LOVE the results!!
