I first contacted Condovate last January to discuss our plan for a full renovation of our condo on the Queensway. I have no experience in construction or permits so it was very helpful to get honest and straightforward advice from Alex about the process, fees, and timeline for our project. Condovate prepared 3D renderings, completed the construction project and worked with our designer to create a living space that we love being in. Thank you Condovate for your assistance.

I would be hesitant to recommend Condovate Interiors Inc based on my experience. At the beginning of the renovation including kitchen, two bathrooms and living room area in my condo, Alex and I confirmed my desired style was not typically what he does in terms of design. During the early stages of planning when I questioned design choices Alex response was “trust me it will look great”, “trust me it will be great”. I made a mistake trusting Alex’s ability as a designer. Once I stopped listening to Alex’s design advice, the finishes were in the style that I wanted. Unfortunately I took this approach too late in the project . After the project was completed, I had the upper kitchen cabinets and hood fan taken out since they looked terrible and lacked function. The additional cost was significant. Within six months, the main bathroom shower floor had to be repaired due to improper installation. Alex did not repair the tile, rather offer $1,000 for someone else to repair Condovate’s workmanship. I did not accept the money offered as it lacked professionalism. At the end of the project Alex commented that as a client I had “very particular tastes”. This is true. I knew what I wanted, trusted Alex, and was disappointed with the work.

We are absolutely thrilled with our newly renovated Master Bathroom and Kitchen... very bright, modern, and beautiful. Alex of Condovate was a pleasure to work with and he was so very helpful in many of the design and decorating decisions. Thanks Alex you made us very happy. During the renovation, which we lived through, the Condovate team were all very professional, conscientious, and respectful to our home. Alex and the Condovate team were organized, professional, respectful of our budget and provided an amazing, top quality reno of our kitchen and both bathrooms. In spite of the challenges of providing these services during various stages of the pandemic, the team did an excellent job of coordinating deliveries of materials and large appliances, booking elevators, liaising with building management, and keeping me updated throughout. We were introduced to Alex Royt of Condovate Interiors through our design team, Design Theory, last fall (2019). We completely redesigned our condo and it was quite an extensive project. The space was small for us so every inch of the place had to be designed to maximize space usage and storage. Alex's company specializes in renovations to condominiums. It was wonderful that he dealt directly with the management at the building as well as the board of directors in order to describe the scope of the project and obtain all necessary approvals for the work. Once work began Alex was completely in charge and took care of liaising with the building to organize construction crews, trades etc. Management at our building were impressed with Condovates professionalism, cleanliness and discretion. We had no complaints from neighbours for any inconvenience, mess or noise. The process of building and renovation was fun - we loved visiting the site to check on progress. Alex is an artist so had wonderful ideas on how to design our space and worked closely with the designers. We have many lovely architectural details that we would not have thought of and he complemented the work of the designers extremely well. He also improved upon many of our own ideas. Alex was totally transparent in terms of pricing. He was up front in terms of cost and was very careful to let us know if any of our ideas led to any cost increase. Overall a wonderful working relationship.

I had the pleasure of working with Alex and his team on a downtown Toronto condo renovation earlier this year. From beginning to end, Alex was extremely easy to work with and professional. The renovation was completed on time, on budget and the results are simply gorgeous. I would not hesitate to recommend Alex and Condovate.

Condovate is great! Condovate transformed our 35-year old condo into a wonderful bright, modern, stylish – but comfortable home that we absolutely love. Alex Royt, the owner, has a very strong sense of style, colour and is very practical. We gutted the 2,000 square foot condo including the flooring, kitchen and three bathrooms. The result is a bright modern and crisp looking condominium. In hiring Alex, you get an imaginative designer as part of the package – he has excellent taste and ideas and pays great attention to detail. As a specialist in condominium renovation he understands what can be done within the limitations of the building. The project was done on time and on budget. We added features during construction but the cost was clear and agreed to as we went along. Building management and immediate neighbours are very complimentary about the way Condovate worked within the building, particularly during Covid-19 restrictions. Condovate is definitely #1 in our books.

We hired Condocate to renovate an apartment we bought. Alex has shown vast knowledge about the business of renovation and came up with great ideas for us. We found him to be very honest and professional. He worked very hard to provide answers for us for any questions we had. Alex was always there for us and always returned calls promptly. He never gave us any reason to worry. We are very pleased with the final outcome of his work and will recommend him whole heartedly to anyone thinking of renovation. His expertise and know how is immense. The quality of his trades people was very high and were all very pleasant to have around. We love our newly renovated apartment and are grateful to Alex and his team.

Alex came to us though a friend's recommendation and he did not disappoint. We thought we knew what we wanted, but Alex very quickly suggested several modifications that improved the overall layout and functionality of our kitchen. He completed the project on budget and within the estimated timeframe. Condovate Interiors offers outstanding overall designs, procurement of all quality components and sub trades, an appliance contact, and overall project management in a very professional and friendly package.

We have worked with Alex of Condovate Interiors on four projects to date - each one quite different, all of them very successful. Alex’s strong attention to detail and knowledge of architectural/design details make it a seamless process each and every time. He has the ability to connect with the clients making them feel comfortable and part of the process. His trades are top notch and the projects move at quick rates with never a corner cut! As a design team, we feel so at ease knowing that we can trust Alex to execute the designs as they are intended and work through all of the technical and construction details as a team. We look forward to working on many more successful projects with Alex in the near future!

We engaged Alex to help us re-model our 1400 square foot condo. Overall, we were very impressed with Alex and would recommend working with him again. Alex provided us with an exceptional contemporary design for our unit. We challenged Alex to chart an exciting direction and he delivered. From a creative perspective, he is great to work with because he will defend his ideas while listening to our feedback and making adjustments as necessary. I'd say both parties were partners in the process and at each decision point we got to the best outcome by working together. Finding a professional who can assert their creative point of view while also listening and incorporating client feedback is rare and Alex strikes the right balance. Alex chose great materials to compliment his design and also provided us with interior design recommendations for furniture and appliances to complete the look. We are very thankful for his thinking here. We also enjoyed our time with him shopping for lighting, flooring and other materials. He has a keen design sense. Alex was also very organized and professional in keeping the project moving forward: he provided clear guidelines and checklists and it was easy to follow along. We overall were shooting for a completion within 4.5-5 months. This schedule was a bit behind. A few things were outside of anyone's control but there were a few finishing minor executional mishaps. To Alex's credit, he hung in with us and although it took longer than we wanted, achieved the result everyone was going for. Alex did not waver and was organized and reachable the entire time. This speaks a lot to his character and meant we could trust him. If you're looking for a contemporary renovation on your space, I would recommend Alex for sure. We would work with him again on our next project no doubt.
