Viva Tile is a local family business located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The perception of the bathroom has changed considerably in recent years. What was once considered a purely functional space focused on hygiene is now seen as an environment where function and aesthetics merge. The bathrooms we create use new technology including waterproof materials and substrates, and incorporate design in all aspects of the project. Furthermore, Viva Tile does not subcontract any work and we commit to one project per month, allowing us to focus 100% on the project's development and needs of the client.

Viva Tile and its owner Jaime proved to be an excellent choice for our bathroom remodeling project. Our home is over 100 years old and the project produced a few unexpected challenges. Jamie's experience really showed - he was able to identify the right solutions. He never cut corners or looked for the quickest fix. He took the time to do the job properly, paying close attention to every detail. We truly appreciated his craftsmanship and commitment to doing things the right way.

Jaime and Viva tile did a great job installing our fireplace tile. This was handmade ceramic tile that required precise planning and cutting to maintain the pattern. The wall was also somewhat uneven as it’s an old house, so Jaime had to remediate for that. We were very happy with the outcome and he was great to work with.

Full 1912 bathroom remodel including demoliti

Viva Tile was referred to us by a family member who had done some tile in her Kitchen. We were looking for a full bathroom remodel so decided to look more of his projects listed on Houzz and prior reviews and were convinced Jaime was the right guy for the job. Our house was built in 1912 so it still has most of its original features which I appreciated, but also thought that it was time to upgrade. We wanted to keep some of the original farm house concept while also adding a modern touch. Jaime did a great job researching and bringing us the best ideas to make our dream bathroom happen. During the project Jaime was highly professional, clean, and amicable. He gave us daily updates and kept up the proposed schedule. I really appreciate that he was very methodical and detailed oriented and did an excellent tile job. I enjoy the time that I spend taking a shower while admiring the beautiful tilework I would definitely recommend for your bathroom and tile projects. Thank you Jaime!

Our house is almost 100 years old which always comes with surprises but Jaime found a solution for each one, and I feel like many other contractors would've said it wasn't possible. We were referred to Viva Remodeling by my parents. When we initially met with Viva Remodeling we were excited to work with them. They brought some creative ideas to our project and their quote for the labor on the project was very competitive. We hired Viva Remodeling with the hope that they would produce for us a bathroom remodel that was both stylish and high quality. Unfortunately, Viva Remodeling did not deliver on their part of the agreement. After being paid over 80% of the labor quote and being reimbursed for all materials purchased on our behalf, Viva Remodeling ultimately abandoned the project after working on it for one month (essentially the month of January) and unilaterally deciding it was “finished.” The work that was done is of questionable quality and we are still cleaning up messes that were left behind from the construction (example: grout was apparently dumped in the snow next to our driveway – the snow is now gone but the grout sludge is not). We are in the process of bringing in other contractors to evaluate the existing state of the bathroom, make repairs, and finish the project. We are very dissatisfied with how Viva Remodeling handled our project and we would not recommend working with them.

Response: Viva Remodeling understands that there are several variables clients need to balance when designing their home remodeling projects. This flexibility allows clients to be specific on what they would like to do on their own, and what they would like to contract for, making projects affordable and unique to the client's wishes. In this case, the client wanted to purchase their own supplies and contracted with Viva Remodeling to demolish, design and make a new ceramic tile shower and base; and heated flooring and tile for the bathroom floor. The project halted when remaining products that the client wanted to purchase on their own were not made available to Viva Remodeling (5 marble trim pieces to finish shower area and curb). Viva Remodeling offered great flexibility to the client's schedule to accommodate for when these items could be made available. Those items were never provided, thus the project could not move forward. For 19 years, Viva Remodeling has, and continues to honor all contracts made with clients, and provided this message to this client. Viva Remodeling is dedicated to integrity, professionalism and ensuring Houzz customers are completely satisfied.

*Additionally, Viva Remodeling provided a bid for mudding, sanding and painting for the areas pictured in the client review, however the client declined to contract with Viva Remodeling for that portion of the project, thus the pictures posted by the client DO NOT represent any work that Viva Remodeling was contracted to complete.

Jaimie is the owner and main contractor of Viva Remodeling who I used to remodel my bathroom and he did a fantastic job! Communication was key from the start in making sure that we were on the same page on every step of the project. Jaimie removed an existing tub and tile then built a walk in shower exactly the way I wanted it done. He also worked on the extraction of my bathroom sink, an extension of the bathroom vanity and installation of a backsplash in my kitchen. He is committed to the details...while the project took a little longer than originally planed, it was done the way I wanted it and done right! I highly recommend Jaimie and Viva Remodeling for any project that you want done professionally and the way you want it....done right!

Viva Remodeling is probably the best kept secret in the Twin Cities. We hired them based on Houzz reviews. The prices were very competitive and the quality of work truly great, especially with good attention to detail. They showed up on time, communicated well, and cleaned up carefully. We had two bathrooms remodeled, including floor tile replaced, and intend to hire them for a third project.

We worked with Jaime Amaya of Viva Remodeling for a bathroom project. We had called quite a few people to get quotes and see if they could do the job. After a lot of no return calls and people not wanting to do the job, I found Viva Remodeling on houzz.com Jamie actually answered his phone, and we set up a time for the next day for him to look at the job. He explained what needed to be done and actually researched the material we were working with for around the tub area. We were also working with another contractor for the window so it was not an easy project. The tub and bath area turned out beautiful. Jaime was very meticulous in his work. Even though it took a little bit longer then we expected, he did a great job, was very tidy and went over everything with us. He was so pleasant to work with which made it even better. He always accommodated our schedules. We would highly recommend Viva Remodeling. Thank you Jaime for a job well done!

Viva Remodeling did an incredible job replacing with my bathroom shower. Previous contractor had done a shoddy job and I only find out as i see leaking in my kitchen ceiling! Jaime demo'd the job and was appalled by the poor workmanship. Show'd me what was wrong., & told me how it should have been done...then showed me as he proceeded with the job., step by step with photos and etc. He did an impeccable beautiful job the CORRECT way. They were always neat and tidy, leaving my house perfect when he left each night. I would recommend Jaime and Viva Remodeling to anyone who insists on perfection! I am so happy with the work. Makes me love my house again.

We needed a complete gut and remodel of a basement bathroom that included walls, floor and ceiling and a contractor who could do the work but also advise on design, color, tiles etc.. After 3 weeks of looking for the right fit, we found Viva Remodeling and Jaime Amaya. What a blessing. He was prompt in returning calls, answering questions and following up with us. We now have a beautiful new bathroom that really does exceed what we initially were thinking. Jaime gets 5 stars for his craftsmanship. 5 stars for his listening and concern. 5 stars for his friendliness and professionalism. 5 stars for his God centered life and for running his business on those principles. I just had a bathroom built back in October, and it turned out amazing. We let him do what he thought looked best, the end result was amazing. It looks way better than the other two bathrooms we have. He's also very friendly, very trustworthy too. Overall, the work done was amazing.
