My wife and I decided we wanted to explore the idea of renovating/expanding our small townhouse kitchen. We didn't want to invest in simply upgrading counters and cabinetry, paint etc., but rather a full design makeover. We hired SR design knowing that there was always the possibility that given the constraints of the structure (townhouse), we may not be able to move forward. That said, The SR Design team came to our home several times for pre-design work ensuring us that we could in-fact grow our kitchen footprint and add a sizable island. I did have my doubts! Several weeks later I met with Angela at her showroom to review her first rendering. Angela had a beautiful kitchen already on her monitor. I joked " can you make our kitchen look like that" She laughed "it is your kitchen Chris" To say I was blown away would be an understatement. Angela had removed a load bearing wall, added beam, which opened up the entire first floor. She created a work of art! Our kitchen space more than doubled (including a 44X94" island! The project took approximately 6 months as we expected 'surprises' along the way. Throughout the entire process, Angela and her skilled teams navigated through every challenge. To this day, I still look at our kitchen and feel amazed at the transformation of space. Everyone who has been in our house (before and after) can't believe it's the same first floor. We plan on using SR Design for our next project (master bathroom)

My experience working with SR Design Group has been exceptional to say the least!! Several years ago I worked with Angela and her team to update my master bath, and loved it. We hired SR Design Group to design a complete renovation and expansion of a previously condemned 1920's Bungalow in the historic Fisher Park neighborhood in Greensboro, NC. The project involves gutting the existing structure down to its frame, rebuilding the roof structure to accommodate two bedrooms, a loft, and a full bath upstairs that previously did not exist, and adding space onto the back for a master bedroom. SR Design Group had an excellent vision for the floor plan and effectively integrated new space with the existing structure. We are excited to have them as part of our construction team and look forward to seeing their design through to completion.

Working with Angela Schlentz & Hannah Herald was a joy! We had already hired a contractor and designer for our kitchen remodel when we visited the SR Design Group showroom. We ended up purchasing our cabinets from SR Design not just because we loved the cabinets (Fieldstone), but because we were excited about working with Angela & Hannah. On our first visit, we were impressed with their attentiveness, even though we were "just looking." On the 2nd visit, they remembered us and had the same enthusiasm when it came to helping us make the right decision for our project. We cannot recommend SR Design highly enough! Here are some of the reasons: - They offered creative, gorgeous solutions to our design needs. (They replaced our old built in desk with a buffet that is now a functional highlight of our kitchen.) - They were respectful of the relationship we already had with our designer. - They were aware of and worked hard to keep us within our budget, steering us toward quality solutions that were realistic (cabinet pulls, spice racks, etc.). - They were extremely responsive & hands-on during the entire process, whether it was writing the order prior to the cabinet manufacturers sale deadline, or responding to issues that arose during the installation phase. Both SR Design Group and Fieldstone were wonderful to work with! - They communicated well, were flexible (scheduling meetings), were patient (allowed us the time we needed to make the right decisions), and were committed to quality. Angela insisted the project be finished to a very high standard. They also worked well with our general contractor. - Their cabinet installers were easy to work with and had integrity. (I overheard one telling another subcontractor in our garage that there was a small crack in our trash bin cabinet, and while he COULD install it and we'd probably never know due to the location of it, he knew if it was his cabinet he would want a new one.) We couldn't be more pleased with our kitchen, and were amazed at how enjoyable Angela & Hannah made the entire process!

Angela worked with my husband and me on the renovation of our 1959 ranch home. It was not just a simple renovation, but a "gut" of 75% of the house, re-apportioning and moving of rooms, and small additions/bump outs where it was necessary to make rooms more gracious. We also added a carport in the front of the house where none existed, and it incorporated a beautiful hip roof that improved the overall curb appeal of the home immensely. The pre-project square footage of the home was about 2650, and the post project, approximately 3000. We found Angela extremely flexible, able to work with us as we desired (we wanted to contract and do most of the work ourselves after the design was complete), honest and forthright in her communication, with a great knowledge of building codes and local regulations. She was also very open about bringing in other professionals if necessary at different junctures of the project (i.e. structural engineers, etc.). She is very well connected with the professions and trades in this area, so this was painless. I am in the design business myself (I managed a furniture showroom), and my husband is very methodical and project focused. We are very discriminating in our choices and probably not the easiest clients, however, we both found working with Angela to be an experience that we would highly recommend to others-whether it be a small or large undertaking.

Our experience with SR Design Group, Inc. couldn't have been better. SR's designer knew exactly how to design our kitchen to give us what we wanted and more. It is designed to be very classic and beautiful. The designer has excellent taste. We wanted our kitchen to be seen from our family room but our walls prohibited us knocking out a wall so we have French pocket doors instead - really pretty.The builder with SR Design was great to work with and always stayed on top of things ensuring every aspect of our kitchen's renovation was carried out perfectly. The construction manager made sure we were always satisfied with every detail. They also built a sunroom for us with a connecting outside porch between it and the kitchen. It is all beautiful & we couldn't be more pleased. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and their suggestions were always excellent. Also met deadlines & we would recommend them highly to anyone.

After soliciting bids and exploring remodeling and design options with 3 other area firms, we hired Angela Schlentz to develop a design for our kitchen and two-bathroom (master and kids' bathrooms) remodel. We were impressed with her warmth and professionalism, her responsiveness to our needs and our personal style, and her ability to address the many details and challenges of our design needs. But most of all, we simply fell in love with the designs that she presented to us. She was flexible and responsive throughout the process, working closely with us to tweak the design details to meet our budget and our preferences, always making terrific suggestions. She is also incredibly knowledgeable about materials, products, additional features, colors, textures - from cabinetry to lighting to paint colors and curtains: she knows what's available and knows how to put it together beautifully. The end result is that we have a gorgeous new kitchen, an elegant new master bath, and a lovely new bathroom for our kids - that we simply love. We also want to recommend Angela's store-front business, Home Design Group as well as Imagine Tile, which is housed in the same space. We purchased all of our cabinets, counter tops (from The Stone Resource in High Point), and tile there. We also used Angela's contractor, Martha Faw. Martha's subcontractors are all excellent and professional - the best we have ever dealt with (and we have gone through several remodeling projects!). Angela and her team were great listeners. They picked up very quickly on what it was that we wanted for our mountain cabin. I said "I want to bring the beauty of the outside into this home". They ran with that and presented us with just the right number of options - not overwhelming. That was fantastic for me because it made that part of the process so much easier than I envisioned it being. Our cabin is 2 hours from Greensboro. They were great to get up there and work with us on this project. I'm so pleased with how it turned out! It's beautiful! The different elements came together so nicely. SR Design Group helped design,plan, and execute the updating of a small, galley kitchen. Design group was most helpful in maximizing space. The preplanning allowed all involved in project to know what the expectations were and their part in completing the project in a timely manner. A timeline was provided for homeowners and subcontractors along with a listing of who-what- where and when work was to be completed. Project Manager was easily accessible to answer any questions or concerns in a timely manner. Materials used were of high quality. Subcontractors hired for project by Project Manager/Designer were most professional and provided high quality work. The goal of an attractive, well designed, high quality kitchen was achieved. As owners, we appreciate the dedication and hard work of all those involved.

Angela Schlentz was recommended by a friend who had been very pleased with her work in her home. I wanted a decorator to furnish my brother's two bedroom apartment in a retirement community in Greensboro, NC. My sister and I took on the job because his wife has Alzheimer's and he knows nothing about decorating. Angela understood what we wanted and was a delight to work with. She has a lovely showroom and a very competent assistant, Sarah Bateman. She has an extensive assortment of fabrics in all price ranges, and furniture catalogs for selecting furniture, lamps, mirrors, etc. We were more concerned with keeping the project SIMPLE rather than a firm budget. After the apartment was finished we were so pleased with her work we asked her to "do over" the living room and entrance hall in our brother's house on his farm near Greensboro used now for family get togethers. This job involved re-upholstering and repairing existing furniture and new window treatments. Everyone in the family is so pleased with the outcome. Angela knew who could do caneing, refinishing, repairing rugs, all beautifully done. She is a real professional in her field and so easy to work with. She will give you her opinion if you ask for it but never tries to impose her ideas on her clients. She wants to do what her clients prefer even though she might not like it. She sent us estimates and statements as the work was done so we were able to keep up with the costs. I would highly recommend SR Design Group .

The SR Design Group completely renovated our master bath shower. Angela and her staff worked closely with my wife and I to determine how the project would be done (completely ripped out old shower) and how the new shower would look best with the existing colors. They were very helpful in tile selection. The old shower had been completely enclosed with a small door. The new one is opened up at the top to avoid future mold (which was one of the main reasons this was done) and the glass doors give us a much more sense of openness while showering. The completed shower is beautiful and we can not be more pleased.

Angela was with us every step of the way, from visiting the stone yard to meeting and talking with two different cabinet resurfacing companies. Angela is one of those rare interior designers who is equally talented in her management skills as in her design skills. She is efficient, organized, and professional. She is creative, innovative and always responsive to her client's needs. We have used her with great success during the renovation of our 1,000 room hotel at the Sheraton Greensboro, NC. She is providing all the new kitchenettes and bars for our suites.

Throughout every project that I have worked on with SR Design Group, their professionalism and finished design have been utmost excellent from the original meeting with clients to the completion of the project including punch list follow ups. Angela Schlentz and everyone on her staff have always provided very extensive knowledge of not only design but also construction details in working with each client as they cater to each individual need and request expressed by the homeowner or me as the general contractor.
