About Us

Industry Leading General Contractors in Manhattan, NY

C&G A-Plus Interior Remodeling is a New York City general contractor specializing in Manhattan apartment renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, and custom millwork. With more than 20 years of experience, we work extensively in co-ops and condominiums throughout Manhattan and New York City, where successful renovations require more than quality construction. Our team is experienced with alteration agreements, building management requirements, COIs, service-elevator scheduling, protection requirements, water and electrical shutdowns, and coordination with architects, designers, plumbers, electricians, and other trades. We handle projects ranging from individual kitchen and bathroom renovations to complete apartment remodels, with a strong focus on detailed finish work and custom carpentry. One of our biggest advantages is our in-house woodworking and millwork shop, which allows us to design and fabricate custom kitchens, built-ins, closets, radiator covers, wall paneling, vanities, and other architectural millwork while maintaining greater control over quality, coordination, and installation. C&G is a family-run company built around clear communication, reliable project management, craftsmanship, and practical problem-solving. Our goal is to make the renovation process as organized and predictable as possible while delivering work that feels carefully built for the apartment and the people living in it.

We have been fortunate enough to work with Giancarlo & Miguel and Carlos on multiple occasions for multiple projects within our home over multiple years. Whether it was redoing the entryway and powder room wallpaper to larger projects like replacing all our door handles in our home, renovating a bedroom into my husbands office and moving a pipe in the process or creating custom doors for our home they have always been thoughtful, timely, detailed and efficient with our projects. They think through what works well for us while offering multiple solutions to choose from that stay within budget, sometimes even proposing cost efficiencies. They are detail oriented & check in often even after the work is finished. No challenge is above them, we had custom plaster crown moldings in my husbands office that we wanted preserved but needed to take down while doing pipe work and they managed to find someone who knew how to work with the plaster to keep them in their best condition. All team members are polite and kind. Always courteous of our now little ones nap time as well which you can’t always find. We love working with Giancarlo, Miguel and the whole team! They do a fantastic job.

Truly exceptional work in my bathroom. They were efficient, extremely respectful of our space (they kept it extremely clean) and very easy to communicate with. Would definitely use again. I got three quotes and they were within the range of them all. Very glad I worked with them. Pics are just before it was fully completed. Quality of work was A+

Excellent contractor. The job was a "refresh" of my galley kitchen: cleaned and repainted cabinets; new countertop; new tile backsplash; painted walls. Giancarlo was responsive and patient with all my questions, the work was top-notch, and the guys were really nice. Very efficient and the job was completed pretty much on schedule. They addressed the few mistakes made without any problem, and they dealt with my mistakes with patience and grace. Go with this family business!

We loved their work. They did a fantastic job, worked with us all along the way. Stayed on time/budget and were transparent on all fronts. We used the firm twice and would do so again.

A wonderful remodel experience of my tiny studio apt on the UWS in a full service co-op bldg with onerous regulations. The apt is a pied a terre, and I was attempting the remodel from a thousand miles away! Not only did Carlos Castano and the great A-Plus team handle all the bldg’s paperwork, and do everything by the book, they kept me informed at all times via detailed emails, pictures and drawings. They stayed within my tight budget and transformed the apt into a showplace! If an unexpected situation occurred, they offered multiple solutions with cost estimated before contacting me. They designed and constructed beautiful built in storage and offered sage advice when asked. Excellent experience! Have just rehired them to design and construct my closet storage. No need to shop elsewhere!

They came to my apartment after a major leak. They replaced an oak floor, painted and plastered. They did an excellent job. The staff was professional, courteous, considerate and honest. The work was done in a timely manner. I would use them again and would encourage friends to hire this company.

I hired C&G A-Plus Interior Remodeling to remove an old linoleum floor, down to the concrete, in a laundry room and replace it with a new tile floor (purchased from Home Depot), install new baseboards, and paint the room. They also had to repair a 2’ long gouge (1” deep) in the floor. They said it would take three days and it did. Considering the work to be done, they gave me a fair price, $1,300, to do the job. They did a beautiful job and were friendly and accommodating to deal with. My wife and I were very satisfied with the job.

Highly Recommended. Came in on time, on budget. Very experienced and technically proficient crew, very neat, organized and skilled. A1 came up with some very cost effective solutions and recommendations through-out our project. Quality of finishes are fantastic. Job was well run from start to finish - scoping, execution and finishing.

The A-Plus team was a pleasure to work with. They renovated our 2br/2ba, and we couldn't be happier. The work also entailed the installation of new flooring, custom built radiator covers and closet millwork. Their level of quality/service exceeded our expectations and they added value to our project with their attention to detail as they executed the design and made suggestions for improvement in areas where they thought such additions might be beneficial to the vision of our design. They managed several issues we had in our project with tenacity and executed the project beautifully while staying within the time frame laid out for completion. We would highly recommend A-Plus Interior Remodeling to anyone in Manhattan who is looking to renovate their coop or condominium.

A-Plus Interior Remodelers did an incredible interior remodeling job for my Family’s place. A-Plus IR’s experience was key in helping bring out the beauty of our newly renovated kitchen, adjoining family living room, and powder bathroom. The A-Plus team understood our Family’s needs and preferences, ensuring that our design selections reflected that balance in creating a modern space with a timeless approach. Throughout the process, they were extremely professional and worked with us within our budget needs. The final result of their Team’s efforts exceeded our expectations and all the rooms were harmonized and unified with subtle, yet elegant, touches. Our Family of six will enjoy this living space for as long as we’re blessed to live in the center of Manhattan.

A-Plus renovated the kitchen and two bathrooms in my pre-war apartment. They were meticulous in their work and great at problem solving, when unexpected challenges were found behind the walls. Carlos and Guillermo and their team are hardworking, personable, and a pleasure to work with. They completed my project on time and for a reasonable price. They are a fair-dealing organization that performs high quality work. I intend to use them for other projects, and they are highly recommended.
