I contacted Yaiza and her team after seeing her quoted in numerous articles in Brick Underground. She was very thoughtful and constructive about our gut renovation project and definitely understood the need to balance cost with an outstanding end result. I can only say good things, she is knowledgeable and efficient.

We worked w Yaiza and the Atelier Armbruster team for a gut renovation of our Tribeca/Manhattan loft in 2020/2021 and we could not be happier with the impeccable, beautiful and thoughtfully designed apartment that Yaiza Armbruster and her talented colleagues created for us :) From start to finish we were in truly great hands. The team was super professional, always reachable, always prepared / up to speed, provided super frequent and clear communication, and was a friendly and likable group of people that I truly miss now that our renovation is over! Yaiza kept us on budget (and gave great suggestions / alternatives when I had ideas that threatened to take us over budget) and was super knowledgeable on materials; as a result my apt has held up wonderfully despite having 2 young sons and 3 naughty dogs. Yaiza and her team were intimately familiar with the ins and outs of the NYC permitting process and handled everything with the DOB, LPC, and our building co-op flawlessly. Not an easy task during a global pandemic :) and once plans were approved and construction began, the AA team seamlessly switched into project management mode and kept our construction moving forward and error-free despite the inevitable surprises that pop up in every reno. The AA team is equally talented at thinking big picture and perfecting the details. Our floor plan is perfect and flows wonderfully - I wouldn’t change a thing about the layout - but I am equally pleased about the little things that I never had to think about - like how high the light switches should be or what kind of hardware we should use on the doors. From moldings to baseboards to hvac system to kitchen layout to lighting to wallpaper to value engineering to custom closets, they gave thoughtful customized direction/guidance and were totally patient with my husband’s indecisiveness and my need to overthink certain things (leading to long emails … which always were answered super promptly!). I could go on and on! Hire Yaiza!

Working with Atelier Armbruster was a wonderful experience. I was very impressed with their communication, design excellence and adaptability throughout the course of the project which had the added challenge of beginning in the early months of the pandemic. It is clear they care deeply about their clients, the integrity of their work, and all involved in the projects, including vendors + fabricators which is where my company came in. I was looking for millworkers to produce some custom shelving that would match some existing shelving I have. Houzz placed Yaiza and I in contact. While the scope of my project didn't require the full services of a designer, Yaiza took the time to reply to my inquiry and send through some local, helpful contacts. Designers are busy people! Her direction was super nice and very much appreciated. I will definitely reach back out to her for her full services when I tackle my cellar!

We hired Atelier Armbruster to help us with a full, gut renovation of our 1450 square foot, 3 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. We are a family 5 (3 children) and in addition to needing a full updating we also need the help of an architect and designer to reconfigure our space more efficiently. Yaiza Armbruster (the owner of AA and lead architect) and her team did a great job throughout all phases of the project. They came up with great ideas and helped us in the planning phases. They were timely in their completion of all schematic drawings. They expedited all the filings and regulatory phase of the project so that we were able to start construction within a few months after the design phase. The lead project manager, Sterling was a pleasure to work with and helped us every step of the way. We used a General Contractor that they had worked with in the past and he was great as well. The have been there every step of the way and continued to lend assistance throughout the final punch list phase of the project. We were very happy with the final result and the photos of our apartment can be viewed on their website. We highly recommend working with Atelier Armbruster.
