JMA (Jim Murphy and Associates)

In 1968, when I began what has now become Jim Murphy & Associates, I felt that my commitment to serving my clients went beyond a professional or moral obligation. I believed then, as I do today, that this business is my calling and that my responsibility to my clients is best described as stewardship.

Today, Jim Murphy & Associates includes over 40 men and women, all of whom share in this commitment. To all of us, stewardship means that we accept not only the responsibility to perform our work in the best way we know how -- we search for ways to do more than that.

At JMA, stewardship means:
· listening to more than just words — we listen for feelings and reasons behind the words;
· treating our client's resources with more care than we apply even to our own;
· approaching each task with a humility that comes from knowing that in any given circumstance, someone else may know more or has better answers.

Finally, Stewardship means placing the needs of others before our own.

We invite you to get to know us through our projects presented here. Once you've had a chance to enjoy them, we'd love to hear your thoughts.

Sincerely,
Jim Murphy

Typical Job Costs: $2.5 million - 50 million
JMA’s new residential estate home building costs typically run $600-$1000/square foot — and as much as $1100-$1200/square foot. That’s exclusive of land, infrastructure and soft costs (architectural fees, consultant fees, permits, etc.). Our typical remodeling costs are comparable, depending upon the scope. Commercial/winery projects range so widely in scope and complexity, it is impossible to state a range here.
