Building treehouse and discovered their products. Viewed web site and visited their office in Spruce Pine, N C. Met with staff, owners and watched production. They were all open, honest, answered questions readily then and later via phone or e mail. Placed a nice order which harvested portions of almost all of their offerings. Every item arrived on time in excellent condition. Beautiful web site, encourage visit, and owners have authored a book about bark shingle history in North Carolina....early 1890's inception to current production methods, products, and examples of unique finished homes, clubs, and others bldgs. First rate...give six stars.

We opened a new specialty running store with a natural, outdoors theme and our designer came across the bark shingles from Bark House. I called and spoke with Ryan who gave excellent advice and service - I had one idea, but he discussed it and convinced me of doing it another way which looked so much better than my original plan. His advice was very practical and he also was quick to send us photos of other similar projects. I have been a fan of Bark House and its products for years. I finally live in a Bark House myself and have several clients that are currently beginning construction of their Bark House. I have had the pleasure of touring their facility and much of their work in the area surrounding their home office. The Bark House represents the highest level in service and quality available in their market. Our projects are always receive high status, even if they are small ones. Product is available promptly and at a fair price. When purchasing quality, the up front price for material is higher, but I have yet to ever replace or maintain any of the Bark House product we have installed.

We discovered Bark House while researching potential suppliers of traditional wooden split rail materials. As part of a historic farm setting (on a county park), we were in need of quality locust rails for the construction a colonial stack (or snake) fence. Many other companies offer wood materials, but very few offered locust. Bark House was able to provide our preferred locust rails at a reasonable cost. We purchased the materials sight-unseen, taking a risk and hoping that Bark House would deliver a quality product (as promised). When the delivery arrived, we were pleasently surprised that the locust rail surpassed our expectations, both in size and quality. We have since used Bark House materials on several other projects.
