Since 1999, Big Ass Fans has made larger-than-life fans for industrial and commercial applications. In 2012, we entered the residential market with the Haiku line. Inspired by aerospace engineering, Haiku’s airfoils are sculpted to create optimal air movement while cutting through the air silently. To ensure that Haiku fans never rattle, wobble or squeak, each fan is hand-balanced by a trained technician in Lexington, Kentucky, then tested for silence in a state-of-the-art soundproof chamber. I love, love, love my Haiku fan. But please don't waste your money on the SenseME feature. After repeated calls to BAF (and very nice phone support people trying to help) my Haiku will not communicate with my Nest or work with Haiku app. I am planning on buying two more Haikus, but without SenseME

LOVE this company!! I ordered fans for a client and the process was so easy. We have a smart home and I had a lot of questions about integration and they had all the answers! The order process and tracking was easy!! During construction we switched colors in one room and when the fans arrived, the color just did not work! They allowed me to exchange the fan for a better color - no questions asked!!! You will not find better customer service and a better product !!

The fans have been engineered for both indoor in outdoor settings, which have been an asset in the many exterior living rooms we design here in California! Their customer service team has always been helpful in all aspect of specifying through installation and maintenance.

I was invited to photograph some of the fans for "Big Ass Fans"! Just gotta love the name! I loved them! They were very professional and knew just how they wanted their fans to "sing". I hope to be invited again soon! We ended up with was several stellar images with a delightful homeowner. Great to see them on Houzz!

I am a big fan of Big Ass Fans. I have specified and used their Haiku fans in all finishes as well as their Isis 8' model fans in residential applications. Their customer service is always good and their product is incomparable. BAF helps me achieve the ultra efficient energy ratings that my clients expect. BAF fans are installed in many of my LEED Platinum homes including the PowerHaus, one of the highest scoring LEED homes ever built and among the most energy efficient homes in the country.
