Calling Bob Lancaster Designs was one of my best decisions EVER! Renovating our mid-century modern house where my husband created his childhood memories has had many challenges. I don’t have the confidence nor the design eye that Bob possess, but I do enjoy decorating and have learned so much from working with and watching Bob do his design thing! Honestly, I wish I had contacted him sooner! I prefer cozy and inviting spaces, and Bob totally transformed “this old and formal house” into a home I truly love, now. He has an amazing knack for rearranging existing items and restyling old furniture into something special and unique. Also, I love that he’s from this area and supports our local businesses. Bob is a wonderful person, and I am thankful that I made that phone call because not only did I gain a fabulous decorator, I gained a friend. We’ve worked with Bob on several projects, now, and I am looking forward to our next design adventure. Call Bob! Call him, now!

Bob Lancaster is a very talented and dedicated professional. He listens to the client, he has a vision and he goes with it! We have use Bob Lancaster for interior design in three different homes. We have also used his expertise in holiday and party decoration. Bob is easy to work with and designs to your sense of style. He has extensive industry knowledge, always finding great value.

Bob is absolutely amazing, as a designer and a person! From the beginning, Bob has been able to sift through the ideas and preferences that are in my head and bring them to life in my home. He is considerate of personal style, budget, and the function of items for your particular family (we are a farm family with pets in the home, so we are rough on everything), while suggesting some new ideas that you wouldn’t think of on your own. We live in an older farm house that has plenty of imperfections. Bob has consistently come up with idea after idea to being out the best and camouflage the imperfections. He has taught me so much about how to mix textures and colors. I will absolutely work with Bob in the future and would highly recommend him! I only wish I had found him earlier!

Bob Lancaster is an A++++. No job is too big or small for Bob. His talent, professionalism, and resources enabled us to renovate an odd shaped basement in our lake house. Not only did Bob work within our budget, the remodel design exceeded all of our expectations for style, class and functionality. Needless to say, we have now hired Bob to design and oversee an extensive outside patio/landscape project. Bobs versatility and design talent is amazing. He is such a gem!

I have been updating our home over the last two years and have found Bob to be exceptionally talented in choosing paint colors and fabrics. Bob has a way of choosing colors in paint, tile, furniture and accessories to make a home feel comfortable, soothing, and a wonderful haven in which to live. He has a special touch that gives each room just the right feel. Bob takes the items you already have and uses them to get the best effect. I have had the pleasure of working with Bob for the past five years. I run a non-profit, Arts Council with a 91 year-old theater and he came to my rescue with his incredible talents. He first helped us with window designs, which were fabulous, then set designs for various projects and when it was time to give the theater a much needed renovation, Bob was right by my side. He helped me articulate our dreams and we picked out the most beautiful finishes which completely tied our whole project together. The theater is spectacular! I have also worked with Bob n my home, where like the theater, it needed a boost. We picked out fabrics, he crafted the look of each piece, had a very talented upholsterer and brought my home back to life. Sometimes people come into your life just at the right time, and Bob Lancaster did for me. He is so talented, patient and a good teacher. His work is does just what a good designer is supposed to do, make you feel comfortable and happy. I can only give him 5 stars, but he is twice that!

We are finishing up major renovation of the kitchen and laundry room and updating the living room and entryway/stairwell. It has been a very long process starting in July 2018 and Bob has been an integral part of this process. His suggestions and guidance helped make the many ideas in my head come to reality. I find myself saying "It was my designer's idea" often. All the little details that elevate the overall design is directly related to Bob. Bob is quick to respond when contacted and lets you know if he is going to be unavailable for any period of time. It has been such a pleasure working with him, it makes me almost want to start another project, maybe in a few years.

My husband and I contacted Bob to help design and convert our bedroom into a therapuetic retreat/spa! With Bob's in depth insight, he was able to merge both of our styles and create our ideal alone space. Bob did an amazing job in helping us to update our house with floors, walls, kitchen counters, and reupholstering some chairs. He is so thorough and extremely efficient in helping to select furniture, area rugs, pictures, etc and then he can put it all together in such a timely manner. He has a knack for your taste and is budget conscious, so I had complete faith in his suggestions. I decided to redo our lake house a few months later just knowing that I could count on his advice and help and once again, he has done an incredible job. Bob is wonderful to work with! We recently built our home, and didn't know where to begin to decorate for Christmas. Bob went above and beyond what we expected of him. He is creative, kind and professional. He decorated our home beautifully and was able to stay within our budget.

This was a first class experience with Bob. We did a major size down to a house we built in town so we began from ground level!There are a lot of decisions to make with paint,flooring ,hinges &many etc's...he was a tremendous help. With the decorating,we shopped together and got abit a basic plan and moved forward...he was most allowing with his time/talent. I most rescepted his involving what items we had and wanted to include and placing them tastefully...I never felt I had to follow his suggestions if mine differered...he was open to my opinion and made it come together. Bob does amazing work! His design and staging of our current home helped us sell in one week of listing. Everyone who walks into our home says "Wow!" Bob completely transformed my playroom! He redesigned, decorated, and integrated all the aspects of our life into the room better than I could have ever envisioned. My husband and I moved to the Clarksville, TN area from upstate NY in Sept of 2015. We decided to use an interior designer for a couple of the more challenging rooms in our new house, specifically the living room and master bedroom. We interviewed a couple of people, but knew that Bob was the right person for us as soon as we met him. He is professional with a very easy going personality and never came across as having a “design agenda” which turned us off from some of the other potential candidates. Additionally, Bob had worked in the NY/NJ area for many years in the past so he could easily relate to our NY history. Bob, made it clear that he would be as involved in the design process as we wanted him to be. If we wanted him to do it all, from the actual design and shopping and setup with minimal input, he would do that or any combination in between. In the end we decided on having Bob do the design and look for the various items he suggested, we would then meet him at the store or he would bring samples to the house for our approval. He also was very good at keeping our design budget in mind during the entire process. His knowledge of the local stores and where to find different items was amazing and gave us some great options for other areas of the house that we were handling ourselves. From beginning to end Bob was always both a teacher and gentle guide, never pushy, with regard to various aspects of design and he helped us bring the rooms together in ways we would never have thought of, but really love. I would highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for design help from one room to an entire house.

Bob was fantastic ! He helped me in redecorating my home. He gave me excellent ideas and was a genius at picking out paint colors. He was really so helpful in every aspect - he even came and hung my artwork and helped me in rearranging my furniture in several rooms. Bob convinced me to take up the carpet in my living room and the tile in my dining room and replace them with hardwood floors - I love them! Without his advise, I would not have done the dining room, but WQW I am sure glad that I took his advise. Thanks to him, my home is updated and I am thrilled with the way it looks.

Exch time that Bob has helped me with a project from my kitchen, breakfast room, den to my daughters bedroom and bath to building a poolhouse, he has kept the time period of my home, my taste and my budget in mind. I originally hired Bob Lancaster Designs to decorate for a party my husband and I were hosting. Bob is such a phenomal person, full of energy and ideas and has iventive ways to use budget friendly ideas with a high end result. From the invitations, to the food, to the decor, he can do it all. Bob is an excellent decorator and designer. He has taken my existing decor and updated. One example, fitting a wide screen TV in my existing den and enertainment center. Bob was able to redesign as if it was in orginal plan. He is able to work on any budget or style.

I can't say enough nice things about Bob! He was my former associate up here in NJ and together we created some beautiful rooms for our clients. His design sense is incredible and clients love him! I know he's always busy - but his expertise is worth waiting for!
