Carl is a very talented and experienced professional, who was fun and easy to work with. He was responsive and open to my ideas, while also offering expert advice and fresh ideas. He designed the window treatments throughout my entire house, and they are all amazing! We loved his work so much, we hired him to help remodel and design our second home. It turned into a huge project (kitchen, baths, windows, flooring), and Carl guided us the whole way. The results are beautiful, and just our style.

We recently completed 2 projects with Carl. The overall design of our main bedroom has the appeal, style and warmth of a boutique hotel. Carl was able to give us a much larger and functional closet by taking advantage of the height of the room. He was able to blend our ideas with his expertise and give us a special space. He also designed the main bathroom in our 1965 mid-modern condominium. Carl's selection of materials modernized the space while respecting the mid-modern era and the rest of the home. Carl has played a significant role in helping me plan, execute, and curate numerous items for my self designed dream home in Athens Ohio. His years of experience in design, working with contractors and vendors, and spearheading most of his projects from start to finish, made him the obvious choice to help me navigate through some of the more complicated decisions during the home building process. In every project that I’ve seen of his, he’s a genius when it comes to layering multiple textures and colors to really build a story within the home. Being in the art field myself, Carl knew just how to collaborate with me when bringing forth design options while still maintaining my original vision and budgetary limitations. His keen eye, product knowledge, and his willingness to think outside the box will surely make the final steps to my project a huge success.

Carl’s design capabilities are limitless. I brought him in on a complete kitchen project on our downtown high rise and I am so thankful I did. He made so many impactful changes to my original design really elevating the project into a timeless design. He is professional, extremely artistic, knowledgeable about the remodeling process., punctual. Willing to work with any budget. After my friend saw his work at our home she used his services for her Del Mar home, and her Coronado Cays home. She has also been extremely pleased with all of Carls work. 100% recommend Carl for any design needs. I’m planning on two bathroom remodels and I wouldn’t consider anyone else.

Carl did an outstanding job with the design of our new kitchen. We could not have achieved such a perfect resullt using an ordinary kitchen designer. The colors, textures and materials work so well together and especially with the adjacent family room that Carl helped us with previously. If you want a kitchen that is perfectly integrated and which also integrates with the rest of your interior then you need someone at Carl's level of skill. He made a lot of choices for us that some people would make for themselves or on the advice of a trade contractor . Counter overhangs, lighting, cabinet design, and hardware selection and placement are all things that Carl was very particular about and those things made a huge difference. We are very happy!

Carl Pallini is so talented and an absolute Pro to work with. He helped us with our primary bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom remodel. He was very hands-on, kept us up to date during the entire process, and helped ensure each step of the work was performed to perfection (and would diplomatically ensure if something wasn't done just right, that they'd re-do it). He also acts as is a conduit between his clients and the contractor(s) and vendors- he communicates directly with them, which saves his clients a ton of time. Carl isn't a designer that has one "go-to" style. He's great at identifying his clients' preferred aesthetic and makes fabulous recommendations based on that. I can't recommend him enough. Whether you have no idea what you want (and need someone with amazing taste to take the lead) or if you know the "look" you're going for, Carl makes it happen. We couldn't be happier with our remodel results and are so happy we did it. Hire him- you won't regret it!

My husband and I have worked with Carl on two home projects. One was the renovation of a split hall American colonial revival style home of approximately 4,500 SQFT built in the 1980s and the second, a 3,500 SQFT custom new build Spanish colonial revival reminiscent of the 1920s. The homes were very different projects and while we wanted to honor the architecture of each, we also wanted them to feel like us. Carl quickly understood and easily incorporated our unique style into both homes while keeping his design true to the homes’ period roots. For the first home, we were on a strict budget and we renovated four rooms with Carl’s guidance and expertise. For the second home, 15 years later, we had a more generous budget and it was a whole home design except for the bathrooms and kitchen design which had been completed before Carl came aboard. In both projects, Carl was respectful of our budget and guided us to design choices that matched both our taste and the bottom line. His hallmark is the use of color and composition, integrating new and existing artwork, vintage and antique furnishings with new pieces. He blends period details with a modern flair. He introduces texture in both subtle and bold ways creating unexpected, beautiful and peaceful spaces. We have enjoyed working with Carl and we recommend him for any home project, large or small.

Carl was a pleasure to work with from my initial contact about my project all the way through completion. His communication is excellent, he was constantly professional and efficient with time, yet friendly and accommodating to changes along the way. My project involved designing a transitional look to modernize several rooms of my older home without the result looking out of place or jarringly different than the remaining rooms. His knowledge of materials, finishes, fixtures, and other elements, as well as where to source them all was quite vast and extremely helpful through the design process and during construction when problems stemming from supply chain instability arose. He sometimes persuaded me out of my comfort zone, but in every instance, the result was something I ended up really liking. I highly recommend him to anyone, including friends and family.

Carl was great! His ideas on construction, room layout and design details were truly inspirational. His knowledge of the suppliers and relationships to the contractor community proved invaluable in moving ideas to reality. We can't thank him enough for his partnership. Part designer, part referee! We needed every bit of it.

Carl has a special talent for designing homes and spaces. It is truly amazing to hear him talk about what he is seeing during the design phase and then watch it all unfold as it comes to be. Many things come to mind of why Carl is so amazing. He made my home remodel approachable. I have zero experience doing something like this. Carl would research things, get them down to two to four choices, and then we would go through them. This made it so much more enjoyable to make this home "me" but also not be overwhelmed with thousands of choices for the hundreds of decisions that must be made when doing a bathroom and kitchen remodel. The other big thing that makes Carl awesome is how detailed he is. And Carl is on-site during construction working with the contractor. I believe this separates Carl from other designers. Problems come up and he is there to make decisions with the contractor to make sure it looks right. Another big thing that I was not aware of going into this - discounts! Carl has so many connections with vendors and suppliers where he receives discounts for his clients. Not sure if I'm supposed to publicize this or not. All of those discounts added up to thousands of dollars in savings for me. I love my remodeled home! Thank you Carl for your talent, knowledge and professionalism!

Carl is a master of color. His choices don't always dazzle when you look at swatches and samples but when the job is done his choices are absolutely perfect. Don't try to choose your own colors if you aren't a pro. Trust Carl and you will get a tasteful and sophisticated result. We gave Carl a free hand to design our entry doors. His design is not something we could have imagined but it is perfect for our house and we have received many complements. Ready-made doors are nearly as expensive as what we have but a custom design is so much better than something you see everywhere that doesn't quite suit your house. Highly recommended!
