When we decided to renovate our kitchen/family room, it was essential that the project be done with care and excellent craftsmanship. Above all, it was imperative that we work with a general contractor who would oversee the project completely. Embedded in this was to have clear communications with the GC regarding all aspects of the renovation, be fully apprised of any elements of the construction that required structural engineering input as well as an impeccable accounting of the work being done. Each step of the renovation was clearly explained to us as it progressed. We could not be more pleased and complimentary about working with Classic Connecticut Homes. The end result was exactly what we had envisioned, and the workmanship was outstanding. We are planning on continuing to work with Classic Connecticut Homes on a project that will commence next Spring.

Devin and the team are A+ and I couldn't be happier. From start to finish they were easy to work with, collaborative, and professional. They communicated with me every step of the way, and stayed true to the original plan and budget. We did a partial remodel and the most impressive thing is how they matched the existing house so immaculately that you literally can't tell where the existing bits end and the new bits start. Check out the before and after pictures attached. We lowered the windows on the middle floor and extended the deck to the left. The entire outside looks better than it did, and you would never know it was remodeled. Simply outstanding.

Devin and his team did an incredible job renovating my kitchen and living room. They were courteous, professional and thorough in their work. Devin made sure that we were aware of any and all costs, and kept the project moving along steadily each week. Devin wrangled together electricians, plumbers, stone masons, metal workers, carpenters, tilers, architects and designers to make our dream a reality. I cannot recommend him and his team enough!!

After a vehicle was accidentally driven into our garage, I put out a request on a Facebook group for reliable contractors. We were put in touch with Devin, and are so glad that we were! Devin accommodated us by coming to survey the damage on the weekend and did a very thorough job inspecting and relaying his assessment to us. Devin relayed the scope of work to us in layman’s terms, which we appreciated. He found that the wall between the two garage doors had an underlying structural issue that needed to be addressed. We are very grateful that he found the issue before it became a threat to our home and our family. Because of his thorough inspection and description we trusted his expertise on this project. We even got a second opinion from another contractor but felt more confident in Devin’s expertise. We were more than happy with and the quality of the finished work as Devin and his team exceeded our expectations. We received great professionalism from Devin and his team, and felt respected by the accuracy of the time and cost estimates Devin provided. Devin communicated very with us often and worked hard to keep within our budget. We can also sleep a little better knowing that our garage structure was fixed appropriately with no cut corners. We will be recommending Devin’s Classis Connecticut Homes to our friends, family, and acquaintances who are seeking contract work.

I’m an architect who has worked with Devin on a few projects and I am very happy to team up with a builder with his qualities. Devin is a hands-on builder; a true craftsman who is especially adept at classical detailing and millwork. His work is meticulous and Devin has instilled in his team the mindset of “doing it right and doing it once”. Devin also possesses a strong a business sense and prides himself on his transparency with clients. He provides very detailed construction budgets and requisitions so his clients can understand their costs which helps them keep within their budget. Devin is well organized, reliable and has great design sense, which doesn’t necessarily apply to all builders. Even though he’s “in the field” every day, he still finds time to provide excellent service to his clients. He’s very personable and has a great understanding of both the construction and business sides of this industry. I would highly recommend Devin to any of my clients and I’m sure we’ll continue to work together for many years.

Devin and his team saved the day for us! We had a small job that was nonetheless very difficult and Devin came through for us when no one else would. We decided to replace the staircase in our home (it was very steep and dangerous). The stair company provided a beautiful staircase (ready-made) but unfortunately they do not offer any installation services. After a lot of discussions with other tradesmen, we could not find anyone to do the job. Considering the staircase weighed approximately 800lbs, the job was too big for a handyman and yet too small for most crews to bother with. Devin came out and realized our situation. He and his crew graciously worked out a way to fit it into their schedule in a way that the budget worked for us. In the end, it took 5 guys half a day and they did great work. When you are working with Devin you are working with a real person, who makes a real professional effort to work towards the best outcome for all parties. I would definitely hire him again.

The Classic CT Homes (CCH) team, spearheaded by Devin Meenan, is one of the best building teams we’ve had the privilege of working with. It’s clear they take pride in the work they do, while Devin is as hands-on and knowledgeable as any client or subcontractor could ask for. The on-site work conditions are always organized, all the details we work so hard to get right come together unimaginably well and bills are always paid on time. We’ve worked many jobs with the CCH team, and look forward to many more future projects together.

After months of back and forth with architects and contractors, we decided to go ahead with Classic Connecticut Homes ("CCH"). CCH stood out as the one who really listened to our needs and ideas and made every effort to accommodate these in the way that made the most sense for our property -- financially, aesthetically and from a use and enjoyment perspective. And we couldn't be happier. The work included enlarging/redoing our kitchen and main floor laundry room, adding a mudroom, a breakfast room, and an exercise room. We also added beautiful backyard stone patios. Throughout all these renovations, time was taken to continually gauge our level of satisfaction with the project and make necessary modifications. As with most home renovations, the project took longer than anticipated to complete. But since so much thought was put into each aspect of the project, any delays were worth it. And CCH's attention to detail is, we're sure, unequaled. As stated earlier, we could not be happier with the end product.
