The TimberTech decking and railing installed by Clough Construction is magnificent. Truly excellent workmanship, and they care about the end-result and making sure their customers are satisfied. Not only did we appreciate their patience in working with us and answering all of our questions, but we also very much appreciated their willingness to hear our design suggestions and for their creative response. Clough Construction is a "class act," and it's a no-brainer to say that we would hire them again for our next project.

Clough Construction produced a beautiful and sturdy result of a new gate/fence to create a side yard for my dog and a replacement gate for the carport entry into the front yard. Everyone on the team was incredibly professional: from the office management, scheduling, foreman, and construction team to the owners, who personally came out to provide the initial walk-through and quote, first day project review and final day walk-through. I even had an opportunity to start the work early due to another cancellation. They were very honest about the timeline and met the quoted goal. It was helpful to have their lookbook to be inspired by the look/feel as I was only clear about the function required. I’d contact Clough again first for future projects.

What a great company! I had a small but complicated deck replacement (from the second floor, without posts.) Other companies either wanted an arm and a leg, or didn’t want the job at all. Scott’s first words were, “This is easy.” Then he proceeded to make it so. Clough Construction’s expertise and craftsmanship is outstanding. Although ready to do the job as the engineer proposed, Scott suggested a simpler approach which the engineer embraced. Clough handled all the engineering and permit coordination, and a beautiful deck was completed ahead of schedule. Even the town inspector took extra time to note the high quality of the work. Everyone at Clough Construction is a pleasure to work with. Communication was excellent: frequent, timely and always friendly, knowledgeable and upbeat. The crew even created a rapport with my tenant, which was very helpful. And the job site was always pristine. No sense of living in a construction site. To top it off, Clough Construction is dedicated to sustainable, responsible forestry. So my beautiful deck is made of strong, fire-resistant, sustainable wood. I couldn’t ask for more. An excellent experience on every front and a beautiful result. I highly recommend Clough Construction.

We had a great experience with Clough Construction.... starting from the beginning quote to after the project was completed. We had a complicated two story deck project that was on the 2nd and 3rd floor of our home. It also wrapped around the house to our pool. We needed a solid company with experience that we could trust.. Forest and Jeff were the main guys working on our project and they did an amazing job. Deanne in the front office is so nice and accommodating and kept us up to date with every step of the process and followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy. They were all very professional and very knowledgable with years of experience. They also worked with our pool construction company to ensure everything moved smoothly and it all came together. You really do get what you pay for and we couldn't be happier with our finished deck. We highly recommend Clough Construction. You won't be disappointed.

We couldn't be happier with our new redwood privacy fence! It's a 2-sided slat fence so we enjoy it as much as the neighbors do. We live on a street that can get busy and without the fence we didn't even use the front yard. It was like being in a fishbowl. Now our front yard is a sanctuary and we're out there all the time! The privacy has doubled the outdoor space for us and raised the value of the house. The team at Clough was great!

From start to finish, they showed up when they said they would, communicated with clarity and kindness, and finished the work without compromise in record time. Don't need a deck? We just used Clough Construction to complete a beautiful fence for us! We are pleased with the look of the fence and how sturdy it is compared to our old fence. They provided excellent information to our neighbors as well and were available to speak with them about any questions they had since our fence borders two neighbors' properties. Almost 30 years ago, Clough Construction replaced our deck. We were impressed with the quality of their work, their attention to detail, and their commitment to protecting the environment. They really listened to us and the needs we expressed. When the crew saw my 3 year old watching intently, they let her “help.” Pretty sure that’s why she went into construction herself. ;-) Some years later Clough replaced our fence, and we were glad to refer them to a neighbor recently. We and the neighbor are very happy with their work. Last week they added railings to the deck they’d constructed. After the first job, I stopped getting estimates from other people. Why look elsewhere when you’ve met the best? For 3 decades they have produced work with excellent craftsmanship, and behaved with integrity in their business relationships. Words cannot adequately describe my wonderful experience with Clough Construction but here I go! Scott is an artist and creates beautiful, good quality designs. Sessi and Deanne in the office are super nice, honest and go out of their way to answer your questions and concerns about your project. If you're lucky enough to have Fakuno and a Hugo working on your project, you won't be disappointed in the speed, craftsmanship and care they put in at your job site. The estimate for my fence was very accurate and minimally more than other companies I asked to come out despite Clough's portfolio and work being highly superior in my opinion. We have been enjoying our fence for a few months and our Clough fence is one of the best investments we could have asked for. You cannot go wrong with this company and these amazing people.

Clough just completed two projects for us, a new deck and a new fence. Both jobs were excellent Materials used were first class. Workmanship was excellent. New design ideas were terrific. All workers were very professional. When final work was finished, clean-up was thorough. We couldn't be happier. orkmanshiup was excellent.

We have had excellent experiences with family-run Clough Construction on a few projects at our house. They are true craftsman who care about quality, doing right by their customers, and producing beautiful redwood projects. They treated our property with respect, always leaving the job site clean and tidy. Communication was excellent; we were always aware of job specifics and on site working hours. They were easy to contact and quick to respond whenever questions arose. Billing was upfront and we were never charged anything that wasn’t expected. We are very pleased with all of their beautiful work and how it has enhanced the beauty of our home.

We used Clough Construction to build a wooden fence for us several years ago and they did such a great job, we asked them to repair our elevated wooden parking deck—a job that we wouldn’t trust to just any contractor. We needed a solid repair, one that wouldn’t leave us worrying that the deck might collapse. The repair work exceeded our expectations and we hope to now get a few extra years out of the deck. When we do eventually need a new deck we will certainly call Clough.

This company is fantastic. They fit me into their schedule (earlier than expected) knowing that I needed fencing to keep my dogs in my yard. Very efficient and professional. I highly recommend.

Clough Construction is a pleasure to work with. We had fresh landscaping and were hoping to put off replacing a tricky 3 ft. retaining wall + 6 ft fence. Fate would not have that and our landscaping effort pushed the old fence to the brink. The neighbor we share the fence with is why the saying "tall fences make good neighbors" was invented (i.e. cranky). Scott Clough (co-owner) is a real professional, he met with me and my neighbor and deftly smoothed out the rough edges before the project started. The crew that worked on our job was skilled, professional and left a tidy worksite each night. The job was not easy as they had to navigate fresh planting and a downward slope that ended at the seam between the fence and the retaining wall. The crew foreman communicated the status of the project each night so we knew what to expect at every step. Deanne Clough (co-owner) is the friendly voice at the other end of the phone scheduling the project and following up with me after the project was done to make sure I am satisfied. The end result is a beautiful retaining wall + fence created with sustainably harvested wood. I couldn't be happier and I would whole-heartedly recommend Clough Construction.

Clough Construction to the rescue! We had a dangerous deck and a killer view of Mt. Tam. Clough came in and built our dream deck. Now we enjoy our dream view, even in the rain. Clough was creative, communicative, collaborative, and consummate professionals. The design was a joint project, with Clough listening and incorporating our desires.
