A few years ago, when we were finally in a position to do work on our home after 25 years of unavoidable neglect, we reached out to Sunny Brook Builders to help us get the ball rolling on repairing, renovating, and remodeling our home and they have been there every step of the way since. We give Dean Shea, Mark Barber, and the team at Sunny Brook our highest recommendation. We are especially impressed by James Bowman and the quality of his work. His artisan’s approach, attention to detail, knowledge, and appreciation of the woods and other materials used makes all the difference in ensuring we are completely satisfied with each project. I have used Sunny Brook Builders to renovate my kitchen, basement family room, and house exterior, as well as minor projects. I have found them to be professional and fairly priced. Their crews are friendly, neat and clean in their work. I was kept informed of progress and reasons for any delays that came about. I plan to use them for additional projects in the future.

We had a complete kitchen and powder room renovation. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the builders. Our Cayuga Lake house was severely damaged by a 3rd floor toilet that overflowed and flooded the main level and a finished 2 1/2 car garage ceiling. The ceilings, walls, and hardwood flooring were ruined in nearly half of the 4,000 square foot, 10 year old house. Sunny Brook Builders provided an estimate, worked with the insurance company on a fair settlement and did all of the repairs for the agreed upon settlement. They obtained all of the necessary permits and complied with all of the building codes and inspection requirements. The project included replacing all of the hardwood flooring on the mail level (1400 square feet). This included the living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, main entrance, hallway and a 1/2 bathroom. They examined each piece of flooring and reject any piece that was inferior. They did all of the reconstruction, drywall work, painting, trim and finish work, all to perfection. They even repaired some issues that were not part of the contract for no additional cost. They showed up on time and stuck with the project until it was done. They cleaned up and left the house in better condition than before the flood. Sunny Brook Builders were knowledgeable, fair, honest and professional. I have been a home owner since 1976 and have worked with a lot of contractors. They exceeded all my expectations. We are in the process of contracting with them for some additional projects.

Working with Dean has been the easist experience ever. We are redoing our front step and he listened to what I was thinking of doing, gave me his input, brought in consultants to help us complete the vision of the project. I appreciate ate the prompt reply to all my calls. Dean explans all the steps to me so I know exactly what is happening when.
