Debra transformed our penthouse into a warm and inviting space that highlights our view of the Harbor. She understood our vision and her impeccable sense of style transformed our home, the results are amazing! She is a gifted designer with creative ideas. Her careful planning, her choice of fabrics, wall color, furniture and accessories were all beyond our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better result. My husband and I would highly recommend Debra and her team for your next design project!

We hired Debra Sloane for interior design for our 2,200 square foot condo in Boston. Our experience with Sloane Design Group was disappointing across multiple dimensions (outlined below). Design: Debra has a great eye for design and came up with creative ideas for our condo. Unfortunately, we felt that we were deliberately ignored in the few circumstances where we disagreed with the original design (e.g., Debra moved forward with paint colors/furniture selection despite our explicit objection). There were also multiple situations where furniture and lighting fixtures were ordered in the wrong size and needed to be retrofitted at our expense because they could not be returned. We felt the Sloane Design Group lacked the necessary attention to detail for our project (e.g., a cracked vanity was purchased and installed in the master bedroom, multiple shelves were not installed properly and collapsed immediately when used). Communication: This dynamic of the project was horrible and required a significant investment of our time. Debra did not proactively provide updates on our project. For example, we visited our condo several days before we were scheduled to move in with a baby to find that the home was still an active construction zone. We had to make a last-minute adjustment to our moving date because Sloane Design Group did not provide advance notice that the project had been significantly delayed. We had to call, e-mail, and text Debra repeatedly to get routine updates on our project. As the project progressed, we were repeatedly told that furniture had been ordered only to find months later that Sloane Design Group had forgotten to place the order. We had such a hard time getting Debra to order furniture for our home that, after multiple attempts, we ended up purchasing many of the items on our own. Billing: There was a complete lack of organization with respect to billing. We spent countless hours going back through invoices to identify mistakes. We had been incorrectly billed for multiple items totaling over $10K. Towards the end of our project, Debra hired a talented assistant who was able to work through the details and issue a refund for the plethora of billing mistakes. We do not recommend Sloane Design Group for interior design services. We have actively told friends to avoid using Sloane Design Group for their home projects.

Debra offers a design aesthetic that is clean, elegant and timeless. Her taste is impeccable and her designs are memorable. She will settle for nothing short of “special”, which is why I asked her to design the interiors of my homes in both MA and DE.

Debra was very instrumental in the design and implementation of my Palm Beach Condo. Her keen sense of style and space was amazing. She helped guide me thru a rather difficult project with ease and gave me the confidence to be unique, fashionable & in good taste. I highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to have their dreams and vision turn into reality.

I hired Debra Sloane to create the renovation design and interior design plan for the gut rehab of my Boston brownstone. She oversaw every aspect of the renovation and will not settle for less than perfect. She has a great aesthetic sense, and the coordination of finish materials and furnishings was extraordinary. I engaged Debra's firm when we were particularly stuck with a open floor plan kitchen and great room that just lacked a cohesive statement. Debra helped me with my kitchen remodel. From cabinetry to flooring all of her suggestions were perfect. She helped me remotely since I live out of state. She found gorgeous porcelain tile flooring for me that looks like wood but is very low maintenance. It is the first thing people comment on when entering my home.
