We found Igor through our neighbor, and I'm sure glad that we were able to bring him on to paint the facade of our building. His price was on the more competitive side (ie. slightly cheaper) when compared against the other 4 estimates I had from SF-based painters, but Igor included repairs to our waterproofing and flashing at our false-balconies which other painters excluded. He took care of the scaffolding contract as well as logistics of sub-trades, and he even suggested improvements/repairs which he covered at no additional cost bc it was convenient for his team. The work he did was great, and it's obvious that his painters took great care. With all the nightmare contractors out there, Igor is a diamond in the rough. He's honest and has a great personality. No change orders - all scope discussions were straightforward. If you're comparing painters, Vanguard should be at the top of the list. You won't regret it

Competent with solid advice on how to repair my aging decks. My mother threw a few curveballs but Igor and team were really flexible adapting the finishes at the last minute. Recommend for cost-effective, competent, and a generally solid job.

Igor and his painter were very professional and prompt. Igor explained everything and did exactly what he said he would do. His painter was very detailed and precise in his work. He patched up some rotten spots for me before painting. My house is an old Victorian with a lot of detail and Vladimir did a great job restoring it to its former glory. I highly recommend this company.

We were extremely fortunate in finding Vanguard Home Solutions to refinish our two back decks, a two-story stairway and our front steps. It was a large job. After scoping out the job, Igor responded promptly with an exceptionally reasonable quote, knew exactly how long the job would take and was available to begin work within the week. His partner Vladimir arrived on schedule daily and did an expert job prepping -- protecting areas from possible spills and power washing the decks and stairs. He applied the stain methodically and carefully and cleaned up thoroughly after each day's work. A diligent worker - he hardly took a break! The final results were fantastic. A beautiful job. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. These guys are pros!

I hired Vanguard Home Solutions to paint a front side of our house and repair our yard deck. It was a quite large job that required strong carpentry and painting skills. During the estimate Igor shared his vast knowledge about decks, and took his time to figure out how to do the work at a reasonable cost. He was pragmatic about the work that needed to be done. After estimating the job, Igor responded promptly with a job schedule, and was able to begin work within the week. Our job had to be spaced out over several days due to poor weather, but if there was sun, Igor's crew showed up for work. Igor went above and beyond and patched some holes we had in one of our side exterior walls at no additional cost. He breathed new life into our house. Also, he gave a workmanship warranty for several years. We are pleased with the result, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
