To begin, I would like to make it clear that in this transaction you were interested in purchasing a home that had been on the market for a week & had an offer on it. You consulted the firm to receive a completely re-designed floor plan (gutted) approved for construction (a process this size typically takes 4 months). The average days a home is on the market as of writing this review response is 32. In the process of Delano Designs simultaneously consulting with you for over 20 hours on precisely how you'd like the new floor plan to function & your financial goals for the construction of the project & generating the construction estimate (without further access to the occupied unit) The house then fell under contract from the other offer. You received completely redrawn floor plans to 1/8", an initial site visit from the CEO & a site supervisor to expedite this project for you, Various mood board working with your existing furniture and new fixtures,20+ hours of consultation, 20+ hours of CAD work (we also have further records to show you approved the floorplan proof before CAD started) further revisions to the CAD after would most definitely be required as you only paid the meager sum of $1.500 for all this work, as you were a family referral to the firm, the typical cost of this work is $5k-$7k minimum. We were happy to assist until the call demanding the estimate for construction after only 30 days from the initial meeting on site & the blame placed on Delano Designs for the other offer pending on the home being accepted at that 30 day mark (initial offer made before we were contacted) thus the inability for you to get drawings stamped for permits to construct as notated in the text messages you provided. The following yelling and curse words when the house went under contract resulted in the termination of the firm's relationship with you as it was clear you conducted yourself in an emotionally volatile, unprofessional, & un-trustworthy manner. We are pleased to complete many large whole home projects, but we must refuse any request to serve you in the future, we also caution other firms that engage you as well. We are happy to provide references including video & photos of our work. We encourage all our customers to have a basic understanding of construction & how our firm operates, collaborative & decisive design decisions once presented, their goals functional & financial before a project begins.
