Distinctive Remodeling was referred to us by a neighbor who used them for a similar project; converting a screened deck into a 3 season sunroom with a natural gas fireplace. We interviewed multiple general contractors and Distinctive was the only one that didn't feel like a sales meeting. First, Eddie Casanave, the owner of Distinctive, met us for every meeting prior to the start of construction. Eddie never tried to push up the price of the scope, he understood our budget and made recommendations to keep us within that budget. He was very patient with us as we changed the scope of work numerous times. One of the most important things to us (in addition to quality workmanship) was working with a contractor who stands behind their work and Distinctive delivered! Early on in our project, the flooring that was installed turned out to be defective. The flooring manufacturer tried to get us to accept an unimpressive offer to settle things. Eddie made it clear to the manufacturer that this was NOT a homeowner's problem. The manufacturer agreed to take out all the boards and replace with new ones...which again turned out to be defective. Ultimately, we decided to use a different flooring, which actually resulted in a credit back to us. You heard me correctly! Even with the floor being installed twice, Distinctive stood behind their work and passed none of the additional cost on to us. Even thought this wasn't their fault, they took ownership of the entire situation. Our project manager and assistant project manager, Keith and Nick, were a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail made us feel like they were treating our project as if it were their own. On more than one occasion, Keith would suggest doing some extra trim out work that wasn't articulated in the contract, but he felt it was something they had to do to make things look exceptional. In the end, Distinctive delivered a beautiful 3 season sunroom where my wife and I can chillax in peace while the kids and their friends run around our house! Thanks Distinctive!

Distinctive Remodeling is an awesome company to work with. We did a kitchen addition and covered deck. A certified kitchen designer assisted us with the plan and assisted us with lots of details from start to finish. She spent many hours helping us with selecting everything we needed--cabinets, plumbing fixtures, countertops, lighting, decking, flooring, backsplash tile, appliances, and the list goes on and on! During the construction process, project managers were on site every day to supervise every aspect of the project and were readily available to answer whatever questions or concerns that came up. Our project took longer than expected, but it was primarily due to delays caused by COVID-19. I highly recommend Distinctive Remodeling!

Distinctive Remodeling finished a room in our basement and we highly recommend their work. From Eddie's initial visit to the quick estimate to the finished product, we are satisfied customers. His site supervisor was very responsive and his craftsmen & women arrived each day as scheduled. We were made aware of change order costs (all minor and at our request) quickly. DR worked well with the town on permits & inspections. What's more - and we're a stickler for this - they removed all debris and left the jobsite clean & tidy. Our project included framing, sheetrock, HVAC, paint, flooring, trim & electrical plus a finished storage closet. We will definitely use Distinctive Remodeling in the future.

I found this company through a "partner" called Paragon Building Group (which I found through homeadvisor.com). I still don't understand the relationship there, but Josh with Paragon was the only one of several contractors that would return my calls and seemed interested in moving the project forward. This was a small workshop addition to the back of my garage (gabled, with attic space), and didn't attract much interest from companies that were extremely busy building houses, etc. (it's a seller's market for construction in my area right now). After I was handed off to Aaron with Distinctive Remodeling, things started happening (which was great, after spending several months just searching for someone to even give me a quote). I provided a very detailed description of the project (complete with plan, elevation, and 3D views), which was accurately represented in what came back from their design process. The project manager, Keith, was very good about sending me regular emails and texts to keep me informed and get clarifications when needed. Given that this was just a "dried in" project (foundation, framing, siding, roofing, and gutters, with no interior finishing) it was completed in just over 2 months. I was very satisfied with the timeframe and the workmanship.

Last year my wife and I decided we had outgrown our kitchen. We were exploring different types of cooking and the limited counter space was making the preparation of larger items like brisket and ribs was a challenge. The number of kitchen gadgets we had were overwhelming our cabinets. We love cooking in the kitchen together and where we enjoyed this we were bumping into each other and reaching across each other. What made it more frustrating is there was a dining room adjacent to the kitchen that was primarily being used as an overflow space for kitchen items and random things from around the house. Looking at different local remodeling companies online, I liked the look of the projects I was seeing on the Distinctive Kitchen and Remodeling website. I reached out to them and a member of their team came out and asked my wife and I very specific questions about what we wanted out of our kitchen; what types of meals we liked to cook, the ages of our kids, am I right or left handed, what type of appliances were we looking to get. Over the next few months we worked with their team on the layout, picking out appliances, choosing the right cabinets, counter tops and lighting fixtures. All of the subcontractors were brought to our house when it came time to begin the actual work. We met each of them and they each explained their part of the process. We cannot express the exemplary work of the project manager assigned to our kitchen remodel. Every morning when I woke up at 5 a.m. there were test messages waiting for me letting me know what would accomplished on that day. the project designer was on scene checking in on the process as the project went through demolition to rebuilding. Now we are in our new kitchen. My wife and I have room to move and share time cooking together. This cohesive team brought the vision in our heads to life. This company works hand in hand to make sure this is the kitchen you want. They took an area that was too small and combined with a room of dead space to give us a kitchen we will be able to use for years.

I had an idea about what I wanted - to turn my deck into a screened porch. Distinctive Remodeling did the rest - drew up plans for my review and edit, provided me with ideas to make my project even better! My friends complain that their contractors take forever to finish and do a sub par job - this company did quality work, and the best part was always keeping me in the loop! My Project Manager, Vince, was a great guy who was there every day supervising and even doing the work himself. They also did some additional "above and beyond" fixes for no additional charge! This is the only company I would ever call for home remodeling Their parent company, Paragon, built my garage and remodeled my kitchen and I'm so happy with all of it!!

From the start of our project, until the final inspection, Distinctive Remodeling was a pleasure to work with. We had a vision for our third floor and they deliverd - making that space the showpiece of our home. Eddie and his team were professional, timely and easy to work with on changes. Distinctive Remodeling did a wonderful job renovating our 3 bedroom, late 1960's house into a stylish, modern and very functional home! We had several contractors home out and look at the project, and once we met with Distinctive, it was clear they had the skills and resources to deliver. Their experts made the entire design/budgeting/execution process easy, stress-free, and fun! We are not at all knowledgable about home renovation or construction, so having Distinctive handle the project for us was well worth it. They earned and maintained our 100% trust throughout.

After a thorough selection process we chose Distinctive Remodeling to complete our renovation. The process was impressive from the start as Distinctive shows up with reputable contractors and completes 3D electronic drawings of your space. They also allow you to tweak your space and explain the structural ramifications from any requested changes. Our renovation consisted of capturing around 900 square feet of attic space and a complete renovation of our kitchen/living space. Along with access to the schedule planning software, we were provided with daily updates via text and email from our project manager. This is extremely important when living in a house with three kids during a renovation. By the end of our renovation the PM and other workers felt like family members. They really treated our house and possessions as if they were their own. As the project progressed, Distinctive really showed where they excelled by helping keep our project on budget and using only the best outside contractors. We were impressed with everyone associated with our project and would highly recommend Distinctive in any capacity.

Eddie, the owner, always responds to your inquires very promptly, usually within an hour. They did a fantastic job of separating the construction area with plastic that even had a zipper door! And they cleaned up so well afterward. I loved their work and would definitely hire them again.

Eddie did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. He did exactly what I wanted, and the craftsmanship is superb. The subs were great, and I felt very comfortable with them in my home.
