Emily Griffin Design exceeded our expectations in renovating and furnishing our new downtown condo. She took the time at the beginning of our renovation to understand our style and needs. Emily is hands on and seamlessly worked with a great team of builders, electricians, plumbers, painters and cabinet makers from start to finish, and the project was completed on schedule and on budget. She is extremely knowledgeable about design and style and has an incredible eye for detail that transformed our condo into a warm welcoming home. Stephanie Houghton, Partner & Senior Designer at Emily Griffin Design Inc. helped redesign the bathrooms and powder room in our condo. We are very impressed with Stephanie's professionalism and understanding of her client's needs and aspirations. Stephanie not only designed the wonderful bathrooms, she helped us through the project right from ideation to sourcing to execution. I hired Stephanie Houghton of Emily Griffin Design to redo my salon and couldn't be happier! Stephanie took my ideas of what I wanted for my brand and made them a reality. From basic white to packed with personality and flare! Stephanie is extremely passionate, patient and professional. Her expertise with renovating brought us a graffiti wall, distressed brick wrapping around one entire wall and painted white, a fabulous coffee bar that brings clients and purpose to what was once a dead space before to life. She also got some feather lights in there too :)! Our washroom also is the perfect balance of rock and roll to a sexy classic ..... everyone always has a comment. I have seen lots of Stephanie's work come to life from house projects to businesses her creativity is the driving force of any project and is the leader you want for any project small or big she is your girl.

We recently bought a new house for our growing family. We knew it was a good size house but the layout didn't make sense for us. We hired Stephanie to help re-design the layout of the upstairs and she was able to efficiently make the 2 bedroom + 1 bathroom into a 4 bedroom + 2 bathrooms and we absolutely love it! We knew we wanted to update the kitchen but Stephanie was able to reimagine the whole space, suggesting that we move the kitchen to another area to help give us a bigger kitchen with a living space connected which is perfect for our family. Stephanie is great at taking your individual style and creating a design that aligns to your tastes while pushing you into new and interesting places. She did a great job of providing a range of prices for the fixtures we were buying - splurging on the beautiful pendants (that everyone comments on) and saving on the kids bathroom with the vanity (ikea) and lighting (wayfair). I absolutely love the kids bathroom and it is a perfect blend of high & low prices! Stephanie is great to bounce ideas off of too. For the kids bedrooms I was planning to get plain roman blinds in solid colours that matched their wallpaper, but Stephanie insisted on looking for some more fun options and I am so excited with what she recommended and can't wait to get them installed. Stephanie was also a great resource to ask questions to when I had no idea what my contractor was talking about :) She would take the time to explain to me and provide suggestions and solutions.

I've worked with a couple of designers in the past, but Stephanie has been the best. Not only does she listen to my needs and budget, she has great taste and is able to enhance my own natural style. Steph had an amazing vision for my house - which started out as my kitchen and quickly crept to me soliciting Steph to help update nearly the entire house. Every suggestion and design idea Stephanie had was spot-on. Anything repositioning items in my kitchen for better space efficiency, to opening up a doorway to the ceiling which added so much flow to my upstairs landing, to little touches like custom pillows and beautiful hardware for cabinetry - Steph thought of it all, and it's made a huge difference. Stephanie also worked so well within my restricted budget. She was always respectful of what I could afford, and pushed me in the right ways to invest where it would really matter (like the new hardwood floor I put in, which COMPLETELY transformed my main floor and was worth every penny!). I can't say enough positive things about Stephanie and Emily Griffin Design. Highly, highly recommend!

Stephanie from EG Design did a terrific job on our Nashville vacation home. I particularly felt comfortable with the methodical approach of initial plans and attention to detail measurements. The overall synergy of matching hard pieces with the theme we were trying to create was a lot of work, but an outcome well beyond my expectations. Stephanie managed GCs and trades extremely well (as none of us were local). We are happy with the effort to fulfill the vision. Great effort.
