From the moment I walked in and met Deb I knew I was in the right place. Deb was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable about all of my options. Then delivery and installation was quick and smooth. I could not be any happier with the process and the outcome. My windows look great!!

I used Strickland's for custom roman blinds and shutters for my entire home. I'm so glad I just went for it and spent the money to have it done RIGHT. From minute one their specialist Debbie Maynard showed up at our door to take measurements, daydream, and make suggestions. She let me pick what I loved and cheered me on, but she is also great at suggesting trends and timeless selections. Debbie gave me all the time in the world to come look at fabrics and take fabric books home, until we got it just right. Debbie is like a wedding planner for your windows. Installation day was a breeze! I can't tell you how good it feels to have window coverings that look classy and grown up and work correctly. I actually called Debbie BACK over to cover the last 3 windows I cheaped out on in the beginning because everything she made happen for my windows looks amazing. The entire staff is kind and always offers refreshments when I visit the showroom.

Although I love my home, for the longest time, I didn’t love my pantry. It was the most unorganized room in the house. I’d literally open the door to see what was in there and then close it again. It seemed I never knew where to put whatever food staple I had in my hands. The builder-grade wire racks that had been originally installed in the space just didn’t work – everything always looked messy, and there was a ton of wasted space. I’ve known Fred Kumpel, the owner of Strickland’s, for years, via networking in the local business community, and I trusted that he and his team could create the ideal solution. Fred made it a point to personally oversee my project, and I really appreciated his personal touch; he is a wonderful person who stands behind his products and his word. My requests were pretty simple: I wanted a bread drawer (so my bread wouldn’t have to live on the kitchen counter) and wire baskets for my onions and potatoes. I let the design team determine how to make the most of the small pantry space, and they didn’t disappoint. Now, my pantry is one of my favorite features of the house – every inch of space is well-utilized, and there’s a place for everything! It’s a pleasure to open the pantry and there’s never any hesitation about where something goes. And, although I still prefer making reservations, when I do make one of my own specialties, I enjoy cooking so much more. Thanks to Fred and the Strickland’s team for designing my perfectly organized, totally custom kitchen pantry – I love it!

After spending $1300 on solar blinds for our outdoor porch I find the product was lighter in weight than described by the installer. The shades works fine for blocking the sun however the fabric is light in weight and blow like a sail with the slightest breeze. The installer first gave us a choice of installing a cord to prevent the blind from blowing. He told us based on his experience we would not need the cords to secure the shade. We went with his recommendation. Turns out, we could not use the shades. Every time we used them they blew in the breeze. I went to the store to let them know how disappointed we were. They ordered the bungee cords which was supposed to take a few days. After 3 weeks I went back to the store and they miraculously appeared. No one called to let me know there was a delay or that they arrived. They charged me for the cords and didn't even agree to install then. Their attitude was surprising based on the favorable reviews in the past. As a result I will not do additional business with Strickland's or will I recommend them.. The shades were expensive based on competitive companies and the service and follow up disappointing.

Strickland's did a great job on furnishing and installing the shutters, blinds and shades for our new home in Brunswick Forest. We are definitely pleased with the results and would recommend them without hesitation! Thanks to Fred and team! Kay and Tom Jones

Our building company has had the pleasure of working with Strickland's for several years, on several of our high end custom homes. Our clients have been pleased with their products and service, and they have been very easy to work with. The custom homes that we build require the best products and furnishings at the end of the construction process, and these folks have always come through to finish out our homes beautifully.

This is absolutely the finest organization I have had the pleasure of working with. We relocated to Wilmington two years ago. Strickland's was recommended by the builder. We started with blinds and shades. When delivery was delayed, they continued to keep us informed. This is very important as many companies fail to keep the customer in the loop. Joelle designed a custom entertainment center. It is the envy of the neighborhood. Lots of compliments. The folks at Strickland's pay attention to detail and most of all, listen to the customer. Their workmanship is impeccable. We most recently purchased kitchen blinds. I didn't notice that the window trim is an off-white. Thankfully, Chris de Jong was on top of his game as usual and the blinds fit and match perfectly. I would definitely recommend Strickland's to all friends and neighbors.
