lighting is your solution.

I'm with j22b, if privacy is not an issue the stationary panel is a great look, either on a small rod or with knobs for each panel loop. You migh also want to consider changing the light fixture to a similar ceiling fan on drop rod like j22b attached picture.

The other suggestion I would make is to follow the arch with medallions. Place the medallions about 6" above the millworker of the window. Stop the medallions just inside the center window pane. Then hang panels from the medallions. You can drape them back or put in Italian stringing to pull them back.

Here is an image of a window much as you describe showing a rendering of the concept and what the actual looked like after installation. I think arched treatments show off the arch.

If you would like some privacy at night, I would have cellular honeycomb shades installed on the rectangular portions of the window, the sections below the arch. These compact down to next to nothing when you want your full view.

Or, for just a little softening, look into those blinds made entirely out of the sheer material (can't remember the brand name!!). They stay in the "down" position, you can still see thru, but it is softened. You pull to close blinds when privacy is wanted.

A great way to show off this great architectural feature is shutters with an arch! Wider width louvers will give you privacy when closed and almost unobstructed view when the louvers are open! Hunter Douglas makes several styles which will really maximize the impact of your window AND view! And if you go to their website www.hunterdouglas.com and look for the iMage Design Center, you can upload a photo and preview how various window treatments would look! Hunter Douglas also makes "Silhouette Window Shadings" which Vikrant mentioned so you can see how that would look also.

Great window and view! The trick is to add interest without distraction from what you have. I like the idea of straight panels, same as some others here, but would use a thick rod to work with the scale of your window and dark material. Placing the rod at the height of the middle bracket in your photos will add drama by outlining the window with a line all the way across bringing the eye up to appreciate the height.

Neutral panels that harmonize with what you have should be enough to do the trick. A modern up to date large scale print could update the whole room. An example would be Kravet Riad Collection using a color way with a soft background and light pattern outline. Can't tell your colors in the photo, but look at Riad Dune or Seafoam for examples of large scale neutral type print. There are photos on Houzz of Riad Dune fabric, not sure about the Seafoam.
