Gary just finished our kitchen reno and it looks amazing. I didn't think the journey would have so many bumps, but Gary kept a calm cool mind and helped us through everything and in the end get what we wanted. He was easy to talk to, you can call/txt him any time and he gets back to you. I will use Gary Blanes for our next job and I highly recommend him.

We hired G. W. Blanes Construction to do a major renovation to our home. This involved a new kitchen & appliances, 4 bathrooms, new fireplaces and numerous other minor projects. We found Gary, his employees and sub trades to be very professional producing a high quality project at a reasonable cost. Gary was very helpful and worked well with our interior designer. We would highly reccommend Gary to any one contemplating a major renovation project.

They were very reliable and efficient, and stuck close to the projected timeline, without any unexpected costs. We love the end result!

Gary Blanes, construction Contractor, is a consummate professional. He completed our project-of-a-lifetime, an apartment in Vancouver, on time and on budget. He was responsive, patient and helpful as we explored our decorating dreams. He brought in an expert team of tradesmen, who maintained an efficient and tidy work site, and he organized and supervised them to get the job done. Gary and his crew created beautiful display shelves out of a broom closet, and a luxury spa shower in place of a bathtub. They removed popcorn ceilings, upgraded the electrical infrastructure, painted and replaced light fixtures. They tiled walls and replaced tile and wood flooring, as well as kitchen and bathroom fixtures; they re-tiled the fireplace and modified some closets. They upgraded the baseboard heaters. They created storage in both bathrooms, 3 window seats, the laundry cupboard and the water heater cupboard. In one bathroom, they rotated the studs in the wall behind the door, to make room for a towel bar. In the other bathroom, they created a storage alcove between the studs behind the door. Gary was always friendly and courteous. We would recommend him to anyone who wants high quality craftsmanship at an affordable price.

When we hired Gary Blanes to build our custom home, we were looking for someone not only very good at what they did, but also someone we could work with easily. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that not only was this company competent and professional, but Gary and his crew are very easy to work with. They helped us through all the tricky decisions and listened closely to our wants. They always responded promptly and had a good solution to any issues which arose. We are extremely pleased with the finished result.

Gary and his team were professional, on time and on budget! They did a complete renovation of our 570 sq ft apartment and delivered quality work which we are thrilled with! Gary's crew did a good job contracting out to his known reliable service people. Our project involved a gas fitter, tilers, interior decorator, stucco expert and roofers. And carpenters. We started with wanting a new fireplace in the living room, that turned into needing to rip out the wall of our home, replace the roof around the fireplace stack and just generally redo the entire outside of our home on one side. From gutters to roof to .... His contacts kept the home and outside tidy and as clean as is possible. Also, when they said they would arrive, the were on time. And his quote for the "changed" job was pretty accurate. And nothing has fallen yet, so the quality is great. It has been 2.5 years.

Gary's company was a refer from an interior decorator and we couldn't be more happy with his service and the resulting home improvements. We did a number of small, functional changes to our house on the main floor which included putting in a sliding glass door and building steps to our deck, renovating the powder room, and doing structural changes to our front entrance and coat closet. The project came in on budget and moved along at a decent pace. His main carpenter was extremely knowledgeable, provided practical approaches to construction issues encountered, and cleaned up every day so that our house remained functional during the renovation. We will be contacting Gary for our next renovation project.

We hired Gary Blaines to build and addition to our house and renovate the entire downstairs floor. Initially we struggled on how to reconfigure our Kitchen looking at several options which left us wanting more. Gary suggested the addition which transformed not only the Kitchen but the entire downstairs living space. We were very happy with the results and the level of professionalism shown by Gary and his team.
