About Us

In 2000 my wife and I started hunting for vintage kitchen items for our own kitchen. Our goal was to convert our home which was built in 1970, to look as if it were built/furnished in the 1930-40 era. I liked so many different stoves that we found, that I began to collect them for my own enjoyment. Then I set up a display and began adding vintage kitchen sinks, refrigerators and Hoosiers. After a while I decided to turn it into a paying hobby so that I could sell some items that others may be searching for and buy other items for my collection that I did not already have. We love all of the old appliances and furnishings. I am always excited to find another nice sink or appliance that is of a different style or special color. Yes, special color. Not only do we have sinks for example that are white, but we have yellow, mint/ming green, pink, brown, peach and even orchid! The early stoves were available in many of these special colors as well. We hope that we can help you put together your own vintage kitchen that you can enjoy as much as we enjoy ours. NOTE: If seriously interested, direct questions to my email or call me. You'll not find a better collection of authentic vintage porcelain cast iron sinks in fabulous condition anywhere else in the world. Ken's place is old sink headquarters. Why buy a cheap Chinese knockoff when you can buy the real thing. His sinks offer so much presence and functionality in your kitchen. We searched our home area for a vintage sink for months before heading to Ken's place in Massachusetts and lo and behold, there it was, ten of them. It's rare to find a person dedicated to the preservation of America's manufacturing legacy. Where things were made to last for generations. No planned obsolescence.

Ken has an incredible selection of vintage sinks, and they’re all in great condition for their age. I looked for years for a double basin farmhouse sink with legs before I called Ken, who actually had a range of sizes to choose from, along with all the accessories you may want (vintage faucet, drainboard, etc.). Ken also will build a crate for your purchase and take it to be shipped, all for a very reasonable price. So glad I found him. Highly recommend!!

Ken was extremely helpful and kind! I phoned him when my 1966 kitchen sink was damaged during the replacement of the old faucet which had rusted under the countertop. Ken walked me through each step of the repair and answered all of my questions about the process. I am so grateful to Ken and would highly recommend Grampa's Antique Kitchen!!!

After reading the reviews here on Houzz, I contacted Ken with details on exactly what I was looking for. He sent me photos and a price. I live in Ohio and he is in MA and when I received the info, I happened to be in upstate NY for business, so I decided to take the ride to look at the sink and pick up the sink rather than having it shipped. I saved the shipping and met a great guy and his son. They helped me load it into my rental car and gave me advice on getting it out of my car when I got home. I wish that I had time to see all that he had to offer, but I needed to get back to NY. If I need another sink, or if I find room in my tiny kitchen for a cool old stove, I would contact him in a heartbeat. I am waiting to have my soapstone countertop installed, so the sink is waiting to be installed. I will add photos when the project is complete.

I’m adding a addition to our home and putting in a summer kitchen for my wife to use when canning and baking. All we could find was cheap (quality) China made farm sinks. Called Ken and he had just exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful old Koehler sink with the high back splash and drain board. We got it and Ken wanted me to review his feedback so I was comfortable sending him payment. Folks Ken is the real deal and his word is good. We love our sink and used his shipping business to ship our sink delivered to our door. A great guy to do business with. If your looking I’ll bet Ken can help you out.

Ken spent 2 hours walking us through his property, showing the many sinks he has. We knew exactly what we wanted, but after seeing what he had, we found something better! He was patient while we vacillated over the options, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the various sink styles and sizes available, and he was very honest about the quality of sinks he had available- he wanted to match high quality with restored kitchens and low quality with garden utility or workshop needs. His prices are more than fair. He is a great businessman and a pleasure to work with! I have already recommended him to family!

Ken has a large sélection of vintage sinks. I live in MA so was able to visit in person, but he also texts and was able to send me a photo. He gave good advice about dealing with the rusty underside. The sink is 67 years old so had some pitting in the bottom. I used Ektopel refinishing product because I wanted it to look brand new and so far, it does. Ken is skeptical, we will see. It was good doing business with him and I am happy to have a sink that fits my space beautifully and is as old as my partner! :-)

This place is the mecca of beautiful, USABLE antique sinks. Sometimes the hardest thing to find is a good old (Fill in the blank) that has not been messed with. Ken obviously has a lot of experience and a very keen eye for unique items that still have a lot of life left in them. He showed me his metal shop where he also fabricates hard to find parts for these sinks that may have gone missing over the years. Top marks, and I found exactly what I needed for a replacement sink with a very specific footprint.

Working with Ken was great! We’re renovating a 250 year old house, so we had to have something special. Our sink is a double basin, double drain board cast iron enamel beauty. A full 6’ long. Not a blemish on it. Looks like it was built yesterday. We figured these would be refurbished sinks. Nope. All original. If you need that special sink, Ken’s the only guy out there doing this great work.
